Guess Who?Hey everyone, this is Jeremie Nothdurft, your Midwest Vice President from Southeast Missouri State. I know

my semester has been crazy like everyone else’s, but I will see if I can look back in time and tell you a little about myself. I grew up on our 900 acre family farm that has been in our family for over a century. Our farm consists of row

crops, hay, and 100 beef cows, 12 of which are my own. My family used to be big in purebred hogs, but we currently don’t have any, because of the swine market crash about 5 years ago. I also help my uncle on his 1,500 acre row crop intensive operation, concrete and construction work, and custom Artificial Inseminate for local cattle operations.

When I am not working, my extracurricular activities consist of church, Colligate Farm Bureau, and DTA. In high school, I was active in 4-H, FFA, and my church youth group. When I am not busy I love to hunt and fish, especially quail hunting. I have my own kennel, Foster Creek Kennels, where I raise and train bird dogs. I currently have one male, two females, and a litter of pups due in the first part of the year. When I am not at school, work, extracurricular activities, or hunting you can find me hanging out with my friends, 4-wheeling, going on hayrides, or playing cards.

At SEMO I am majoring in Agribusiness with an option in Animal Science and I plan to work in the Agribusiness industry. Last summer I participated in an internship for AgriGold Hybrids, which I really enjoyed. This summer I hope to complete an internship with an ethanol plant coming into our area. Nonetheless, I would like to obtain a management or sales position and continue to farm on the side.

Hope everyone continues to have a great semester and I will see you all at National Convention.

Sincerely,

Jeremie NothdurftMidwest Vice President
