IASTED Conference

The University of Botswana hosts the Sixth International Association of Science and Technology for Development

(IASTED) International Conferences scheduled for September 5-7, 2016 at the Gaborone International Convention

Centre.

The University of Botswana continues to bring the IASTED International Conferences to Botswana, biannually. The

International Association of Science and Technology for Development (IASTED) with its Headquarters in Canada and

United States, is a non-profit organization founded in Zurich, Switzerland in 1977.The purpose of IASTED is to

promote economic development through science and technology. This goal is achieved by more than 700 conferences

which IASTED has organized in over 30 countries.

The theme of the Conferences for 2016 is “Science and Technology for Development –Responding to Challenges

Facing Society Today.”

The conference series covers the following disciplines:

Environment and Water Resources Management (AfricaEWRM 2016)

Health Informatics (AfricaHI 2016)

Modelling and Simulation (AfricaMS 2016)

Power and Energy Systems (AfricaPES 2016)

Delegates

Delegates from Africa and internationally will participate in this conference, to share ideas and experiences in science

and technology that continue to be challenging to most African countries. These delegates include renowned personnel

from academia, industry, government as well as the business world.
