Events of the 90s Persian Gulf WarCause: Iraq’s annexation and
invasion of Kuwait. In response, the U.S. and 38 other countries fought
Iraq in this war. (“Operation Desert Storm”) Started Jan. 17th, 1991 and ended Feb. 28th, 1991. This was also when Iraq was defeated and the U.S.,
along with it’s allies, won. Clinton admin-produced 1st federal budget surplus
since 1969-decrease in public debt Clinton: “Don’t ask, Don’t Tell”, Defensive Marriage
Act, and decreased welfare programs
