Cataloging Terms In Tibetan This document contains terms for cataloging of Tibetan texts and other aspects of the literature project translated by Zenkar Rinpoche with Steve Weinberger and Than Garson taking notes. It is a rough document at various levels of exactitude and refinement. NOTE: These are notes from his visit in 2003 or 2004. The date of the file does not reflect the date of the information. The first part is pretty good, a table of all the English terms in the catalog that we could find. We went over these twice and they are relatively firm, except for a few. Some of the etymologies that are included are straightforward; some he didn't know what it was. Then, there’s a table of questions Steve asked Rinpoche, like about ཞཞཞཞཞཞཞ and ཞཞཞཞཞཞཞ and other colophon phrases. The translations, explanations are below the line in each case. After that the document slowly degenerates, I basically appended material that we'd talked about which wasn't exactly covered in either of the first two sections, so as not to miss anything. Cataloging Terms In TibetanThis document contains terms for cataloging of Tibetan texts and other aspects of the literature project translated by Zenkar Rinpoche with Steve Weinberger and Than Garson taking notes. It is a rough document at various levels of exactitude and refinement. NOTE: These are notes from his visit in 2003 or 2004. The date of the file does not reflect the date of the information.

The first part is pretty good, a table of all the English terms in the catalog that we could find. We went over these twice and they are relatively firm, except for a few. Some of the etymologies that are included are straightforward; some he didn't know what it was.

Then, there’s a table of questions Steve asked Rinpoche, like about ཞུས་ཏེ ་ and ཞུ་ཆེན་ and other colophon phrases. The translations, explanations are below the line in each case.

After that the document slowly degenerates, I basically appended material that we'd talked about which wasn't exactly covered in either of the first two sections, so as not to miss anything. You can sort through this or not, depending on how important/relevant it seems.

closed collection. ཕྱོ གས means ‘direction’ or ‘class’
