the arts, the environment, and small businesses could all work together in this wonderful country based on this wonderful concept of capitalism?

Here’s to one year of making a difference—this is thanks to the business owners who took a chance and believed in making a difference in our community.

And thank you to you—the consumer and customer—for taking the time to read this publication and make this possible.

It was May of 2006 that the first issue of That’s Natural! went out to the community of Pueblo County.

It was four pages and 250 were circulated to around seven businesses.

One year later the publication ranges between 8 and 12 pages and between 2,000 and 2,500 are circulated at over 70 locations. They are going to Pueblo County, Fremont County, and Huerfano County.

People apparently love to hear about how they can live sustainable lives.

We like to learn about what amazing and healthful

products are right here in Southern Colorado.

Our communities like to know about the incredible entertainment we have available locally.

We like to learn about indi-viduals, businesses, and organizations that are doing great things for our community.

Should we be surprised? I don’t think so. Although our world is full of less than desirable happenings, we all have the capability to change and make positive impacts on our own lives and those of our fellow citizens.

We are change.

You have all heard the saying, “Keep it simple stupid”. (KISS) Well, that age old saying applies to investing as well.

A lot of us get too wound up and confused with the complications of “where do I put my IRA, 401(k) and private savings money.” As the “Famed Philosopher”, Yogi Berra put it, “I don’t want to make the wrong mistake.”

An easy way to avoid the wrong mistake is to build a simple plan by allocating, diversifying, and rebalancing. This is done is by taking a disciplined approach. Rather than pursue their goals with a strate-gic long-term approach, many investors try to time the market and chase investment returns, (the top investment sector in 2007 might be on the bottom in 2008) and they end up with little to show for it. There is a better way. Consider developing a balanced goal-oriented investing strategy with a three- step process.

ALLOCATE – assets across the major asset classes to help you pur-sue the optimal return for the risk level you are willing to under-take.

DIVERSIFY – within each asset class to take advantage of different investment styles and various market sectors so strong performance in one area minimizes downturn in another.

REBALANCE – periodically to ensure that your plan remains in synch with your risk tolerance and to maintain your desired alloca-

SO…YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE A SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE INVESTOR

tions.

A disciplined approach is easy to put into practice when you create and follow a strategic plan –one that can help you stay focused on your long-term goals.

Keeping in mind that NO investment strategy including asset allocations, diversification or rebalancing can guarantee a profit or protect against loss.

So… ”Keep it simple _ _ _ _ _ ” and be a smart investor!

Investment in mutual funds involves risk, including possible loss of principal in-vested. You could lose money on your investment in any Fund or the Fund could under perform for any of the following reasons: The market prices of stocks or bond decline; the individual stocks in the Fund do not perform as well as expected; and/or the Fund’s portfolio management practices do not work to achieve their desired result. skin’s protective acid mantle isn’t dis-turbed and the products deliver the best results.

Many of us are familiar with the term “squeaky clean”; this isn’t a good thing. When your skin is squeaky clean, it means that your skin’s protective acid mantle has been disrupted and the beneficial oils stripped.

Our skin is the largest functioning organ of our body. Not only does it respond to, and protect us from environmental distress, it is what makes us unique as individuals.

We could not live without our skin. With all the information available on how to take care of our internal organs, taking care of our largest organ, our skin, has been a much lower priority.

I am pleased to offer premium skin care and wellness products that are formulated in Switzerland and made in the USA. All products offered are:

Reflexology is natural healing art in which pressure is applied to specific areas of the skin, mainly the hands and feet. Traced back as far as 2300BC in the physician’s tombs of the Egyptian pyramids, Reflexology is an ancient healing art that was also used in China, India, Japan and by Native American tribes.

Based upon the principle that there are reflexes in the feet that correspond to every gland, organ and area of the body, Reflexology is a non-invasive, natural therapy that induces a deep relaxed state. Through application of pressure to these reflexes,

session may require 90 minutes. The first visit may include a relaxing foot bath while the practitioner listens to you explain your current symptoms, if any, and reviews your medical his-tory.

Through the course of a session, certain reflexes may be sensitive. These tender spots are pos-sibly indica-tions of a blockage in the related body ar-eas. Reflexol-ogy aids to detox, balance and re-energize the body.

A man was walking down the road. In the distance he heard the momentary howl of a dog in some distress. He soon passed a house with an old man sitting in a rocking chair on his front porch. Next to the old man was an equally old dog lying on the porch. Just then the dog let out a mournful howl. The passer-by stopped and asked the old man what was wrong with his dog.

The old man said, “Oh, nothing much. He’s just lying on a nail sticking up through the porch floor.”

The passer-by asked, “Well, why doesn’t he get up and move?” The old man said, “Oh, it doesn’t hurt that much.”

In many ways some people, who complain about their utility bills and do nothing about it, are like the dog on the porch. Once these same people are in enough financial discomfort they will probably look for a solution to their problem. Solutions do exist. Some of them are simple and less expensive. Some may require more effort and an investment into energy conserving improvements.

This month’s energy-saving tips include the following:

Lower the temperature on your water heater to 120 (F) degrees. Turn it off when leaving home for extended periods of time. Elec-tric water heaters can be put on timers; gas water heaters must be set manually.

Following manufacturer’s guidelines, place an insulation blanket around your water heater.

Set refrigerators between 37 and 40 degrees (F). Keep the coils behind or under the refrigerator clean. Keep refrigerators andfreezers well stocked; it takes more energy to cool an empty one. Some older refrigerators and freezers can use up to three times as much energy as newer ones.

Raw milk is a living food and has been found to be healing. For centuries traditional cultures have eaten raw and

cultured raw milk products from cows, sheep, goat, camel, yak, buffalo, and reindeer.

Weston A. Price, DDS,studied many of these traditional cultures and found them to be vibrantly healthy with perfect teeth. Raw milk is available
