Corneal Specialist - The cornea is the area of the eye where LASIK is performed. A Corneal Specialist (Eye Surgeon with advanced Fellowship training in Corneal Refractive Surgery) is the most qualified to perform LASIK.

An Experienced & LoCAL Surgeon - Many discount LASIK centers use a surgeon from out of town who may not meet you until the day of surgery and will never see you again. Your surgeon should personally examine you, become familiar with your unique condition, see you after surgery, and most importantly, be available at all times, especially to manage any problems that might occur.
