PRESS RELEASE February 1, 2022 The Dominion Foundation for Grants $5,000 for Utility Assistance Catholic Charities of Steuben would like to thank The Dominion Foundation for a $5,000 grant for utility assistance. This grant will help Catholic Charities’ Turning Point programs assist hundreds of families in Steuben County with heating costs and avoiding utility shutoffs. David Lamphier, Manager of Gas Transmission Operations for the Northeastern Area, and Aaron Hughes, Operations Supervisor for the Woodhull Station presented the grant on July 14, 2015 at Turning Point Bath, 23 Liberty Street in Bath, NY. Accepting the award were Lynda Lowin, Turning Point Director, and Sue Bozman, Grant Development and Data Quality Control Director for Catholic Charities of Steuben, which houses the Turning Point programs at three locations in Bath, Corning, and Hornell. Turning Point helps people use a financial crisis as a chance to turn a corner in their lives. Through Basic Needs Services, clients avert homelessness, utility shutoff, hunger and medicine shortage. Through Support Services, clients access ongoing supports that help stretch earned dollars for short-term stability. Through Development Services, clients position themselves for long-term stability by setting goals, accessing opportunities, and gaining knowledge.

The Dominion Foundation for Grants $5,000 for Utility Assistance

Catholic Charities of Steuben would like to thank The Dominion Foundation for a $5,000 grant for utility assistance. This grant will help Catholic Charities’ Turning Point programs assist hundreds of families in Steuben County with heating costs and avoiding utility shutoffs.
