1. OU Storm Center Given 450 Hours on Supercomputer Oklahoman Published: August 30, 1989 NORMAN The University of Oklahoma's Center for the Analysis and Prediction of Storms will receive a gift from Cray Research Inc. of 450 hours of supercomputer time, valued at about $600,000.

OU Experts Storm D.C. With Tornado Technology Chris Casteel • Published: May 27, 1999 WASHINGTON - About 90 minutes before the massive tornado developed in central Oklahoma on May 3, an experimental computer at the University of Oklahoma predicted it.
