Dear Parents, Parishioners, and Friends of Christ the King Catholic School, It is with humble gratitude and sincere excitement that I welcome you to the 2018 Auction. Thank you for joining us as CKS is ready to SHINE ON! We are ready to celebrate this warm, welcoming and wonderful community that we hold dear. Our students are at the center of this celebration, and tonight we come together in support of them — our most precious gifts. Tonight’s “Raise the Paddle” supports a very important cause: a state of the art sound and light system for our school gym. This project will benefit every member of our school and parish community for decades to come. Your children and those of the future deserve no less. Tonight we celebrate not just the here and now, but the future — the future of our children, the future of Christ the King School, and the future of our entire parish community. We celebrate the efforts of so many who have tirelessly and selflessly made this evening possible in support of our children, and we celebrate the gentle care of our God who continues to shower us with abundant love and so very many blessings. 10 Painting and Pizza with Mrs. Holpainen & Ms. Fairbanks Four CKS Students will join Mrs. Holpainen & Ms. Fairbanks for a memorable afternoon at the Dancing Brush in Ballard followed by a feast at the Ballard Pizza Company. For a state of the art sound and lighting system!
Christ the King has an exciting opportunity to significantly enhance our gym forever! This summer, we plan to purchase a state of the art sound and lighting system for the gym. The new system will directly benefit every CKS Panther and every CKS Parishioner now and for decades to come. With the addition of lighting and sound, the gym will be used for the annual middle school theatre production, school talent shows and assemblies, Parent Club functions including BINGO and movie nights, parish events and productions, student music and band concerts, social functions, fundraisers, and countless other new and exciting programs and activities. So please raise your paddle high! With your help, we can reach our goal tonight to complete this project over the summer. Let’s RAISE THIS CURTAIN together! 13 One Month of CKS 2018 Summer Day Camp Have you heard about the wonderful day camp program right here at CKS? Students entering grades 1-5 enjoy a full day of fun, learning, and adventure. Themes vary by the week. This package provides four weeks of CKS summer day camp and can be used by one child or shared with siblings. 14 5th Grade Class Project – Handmade Quilt
This is a beautiful lap size quilt with blocks sewn by 5th grade students. ! Donors: 5th grade students & Megan Bayrd
15 Custom Playhouse Do you know a creative child who loves imaginary play? Then, this unique item is for you! Jon Hall and Joe Monda (CKS dads) will design, build, and deliver a beautiful, wooden handmade school-playhouse. This is the perfect get-away play space for children and teens of all ages. The one-room schoolhouse will be 6 feet wide, 6 feet long, and 6 feet tall. It's big! It will have an open floor allowing you to move it anywhere about your yard as needed. The school-playhouse has library shelves, a blackboard wall, a bench, and two opening windows with functional shutters--think Little House on the Prairie style. Paint color is your choice, but we highly recommend blue or green! ! Donors: Jon Hall and Joe Monda

18 Evening with Friends! Dinner and Concert with Fr. Armando Enjoy a homemade, authentic Mexican feast for 8 prepared by a personal chef in Fr. Armando's rectory, the Micah House. 19 Police Ride-Along A chance of a lifetime for a budding first responder and their favorite grown-up! Join Officer O'Neill for a four hour traffic-patrol experience. Ride-a-long on his duty, visit the precinct, the 9-1-1 call center, and more! Open to CKS students 4th grade and up. One parent must join the child for the entire four hours. 32 8th Grade Class Project – “Be A Light” Peace Pole Hand painted by every student and even Ms. Cecchini. A Peace Pole is a hand-crafted monument that displays a message and prayer for peace on each of its sides. There are tens of thousands of Peace Poles in 180 countries all over the world dedicated as monuments to peace. They serve as constant reminders for us to visualize and pray for world peace. 33 Principal for A Day and More!! One lucky CKS student will get an experience of a lifetime! A behind-the-scenes tour of the school and parish to see normally "off-limits" workings.
