For the sixth consecutive yearMCMC nurses were among the exclusive group of Oregon healthcare professionals selected to receive the March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Award
Each year the March of Dimes selects one outstanding nurse in each of 16 different categories of care This year two MCMC nurses were selected in two categories continuing the hospitalrsquos streak of having at least one nurse earn the honor every year since the award programrsquos inception This yearrsquos honorees are Lynn Allen MN ARNP and Kathy Kahler RN MSN CHCAA member of the patient care team at MCMCrsquos Celilo Cancer Center Allen was named Advance Practice Nurse of the Year She says she loves visiting with her patients discovering their personal stories and supporting them through one of the most difficult times in their lives Kahler co-director of Visiting Health Services for MCMC is Home Health Nurse of the Year The daughter of a nurse Kahler says it is an honor that patients allow visiting nurses into their home to care for them ldquoItrsquos always been her mission to care for patients where they are most comfortable mdash in the homerdquo says Visiting Health Servicesrsquo other co-director Marcia Medler noting that Kahler coincidentally won her honor during National Home Care amp Hospice Month ldquoI am very humbled by this honorrdquo Kahler says ldquoItrsquos the team that I work with at Visiting Health Services and my family that make me who I am I look forward to growing MCMCrsquos Visiting Health department in the Columbia Gorge region where we cover seven counties in Washington and Oregon and serve over 200 patients every day I want to thank the staff who cares for our patients and also my mom for her inspiration and supportrdquo Interim PresidentCEO Dianne Storby considers MCMCrsquos year-in year-out representation on the nursing awards list to be ldquoan extraordinary achievement for a hospital of our size It is proof of the hard work and dedication to patient care I see every day from the healthcare professionals at MCMC I am proud of our winners past and presentrdquo An awards breakfast for all honored nurses was held in November in Portland The annual event brings together the Oregon and Southwest Washington healthcare community to recognize nursing excellence and achievements in education innovation leadership research and quality patient care

Fort Dalles Museum Update
Dear Chamber Members and Friends Fort Dalles MuseumAnderson Homestead is open for their 111th season sharing the history and the heritage of The Dalles and the eastern Columbia Gorge The Museum in the original Surgeonrsquos Quarters of Fort Dalles opened on August 31st 1905 The Museum was started by a local womenrsquos association called the Sorosis Club Today each room of the Surgeonrsquos Quarters tells a story or stories of our local history The newest exhibit is on the history of the Umatilla House Hotel one of the grand hotels of the West Other stories include The Dalles as a River City The Celilo Indians The 1890s Parlor The Horn Saloon The Old West Room and the Ladyrsquos Bedroom Across the lawn of the Surgeonrsquos Quarters the vehicle building contains horse drawn vehicles and early automobiles that once drove or rode on the streets of The Dalles Next to the vehicle building is an open air shed which houses more horse drawn vehicles Another story unfolds in the original buildings of the Anderson Homestead The homestead was originally owned by Louis Anderson and family who came to The Dalles in 1890 and purchased farmland on Pleasant Ridge Today you can walk through the Swedish designed and built house privy granary and barnFort Dalles MuseumAnderson Homestead is open seven days a week from 10 am ndash 5 pm at 500 West 15th Street in The Dalles (541) 296-4547 WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP US TELL THE STORIES OF FORT DALLES ANDERSON HOMESTEAD THE DALLES AND THE MID-COLUMBIA AREA We need some active people to show people around the Museum and Homestead For those of you who would rather not do a lot of walking we need people to act as a greeter and cashier We will train you so that you will quickly become a storyteller sharing our arearsquos history Please give us a call for more information on becoming a Fort Dalles Museum Volunteer and PLEASE visit the Fort Dalles Museum soon Thanks Cal McDermid Fort Dalles Museum Director

For the sixth consecutive yearMCMC nurses were among the exclusive group of Oregon healthcare professionals selected to receive the March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Award

Fort Dalles Museum Update
Dear Chamber Members and Friends Fort Dalles MuseumAnderson Homestead is open for their 111th season sharing the history and the heritage of The Dalles and the eastern Columbia Gorge The Museum in the original Surgeonrsquos Quarters of Fort Dalles opened on August 31st 1905 The Museum was started by a local womenrsquos association called the Sorosis Club Today each room of the Surgeonrsquos Quarters tells a story or stories of our local history The newest exhibit is on the history of the Umatilla House Hotel one of the grand hotels of the West Other stories include The Dalles as a River City The Celilo Indians The 1890s Parlor The Horn Saloon The Old West Room and the Ladyrsquos Bedroom Across the lawn of the Surgeonrsquos Quarters the vehicle building contains horse drawn vehicles and early automobiles that once drove or rode on the streets of The Dalles Next to the vehicle building is an open air shed which houses more horse drawn vehicles Another story unfolds in the original buildings of the Anderson Homestead The homestead was originally owned by Louis Anderson and family who came to The Dalles in 1890 and purchased farmland on Pleasant Ridge Today you can walk through the Swedish designed and built house privy granary and barnFort Dalles MuseumAnderson Homestead is open seven days a week from 10 am ndash 5 pm at 500 West 15th Street in The Dalles (541) 296-4547 WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP US TELL THE STORIES OF FORT DALLES ANDERSON HOMESTEAD THE DALLES AND THE MID-COLUMBIA AREA We need some active people to show people around the Museum and Homestead For those of you who would rather not do a lot of walking we need people to act as a greeter and cashier We will train you so that you will quickly become a storyteller sharing our arearsquos history Please give us a call for more information on becoming a Fort Dalles Museum Volunteer and PLEASE visit the Fort Dalles Museum soon Thanks Cal McDermid Fort Dalles Museum Director

For the sixth consecutive yearMCMC nurses were among the exclusive group of Oregon healthcare professionals selected to receive the March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Award
Each year the March of Dimes selects one outstanding nurse in each of 16 different categories of care This year two MCMC nurses were selected in two categories continuing the hospitalrsquos streak of having at least one nurse earn the honor every year since the award programrsquos inception This yearrsquos honorees are Lynn Allen MN ARNP and Kathy Kahler RN MSN CHCAA member of the patient care team at MCMCrsquos Celilo Cancer Center Allen was named Advance Practice Nurse of the Year She says she loves visiting with her patients discovering their personal stories and supporting them through one of the most difficult times in their lives Kahler co-director of Visiting Health Services for MCMC is Home Health Nurse of the Year The daughter of a nurse Kahler says it is an honor that patients allow visiting nurses into their home to care for them ldquoItrsquos always been her mission to care for patients where they are most comfortable mdash in the homerdquo says Visiting Health Servicesrsquo other co-director Marcia Medler noting that Kahler coincidentally won her honor during National Home Care amp Hospice Month ldquoI am very humbled by this honorrdquo Kahler says ldquoItrsquos the team that I work with at Visiting Health Services and my family that make me who I am I look forward to growing MCMCrsquos Visiting Health department in the Columbia Gorge region where we cover seven counties in Washington and Oregon and serve over 200 patients every day I want to thank the staff who cares for our patients and also my mom for her inspiration and supportrdquo Interim PresidentCEO Dianne Storby considers MCMCrsquos year-in year-out representation on the nursing awards list to be ldquoan extraordinary achievement for a hospital of our size It is proof of the hard work and dedication to patient care I see every day from the healthcare professionals at MCMC I am proud of our winners past and presentrdquo An awards breakfast for all honored nurses was held in November in Portland The annual event brings together the Oregon and Southwest Washington healthcare community to recognize nursing excellence and achievements in education innovation leadership research and quality patient care

Fort Dalles Museum Update
Dear Chamber Members and Friends Fort Dalles MuseumAnderson Homestead is open for their 111th season sharing the history and the heritage of The Dalles and the eastern Columbia Gorge The Museum in the original Surgeonrsquos Quarters of Fort Dalles opened on August 31st 1905 The Museum was started by a local womenrsquos association called the Sorosis Club Today each room of the Surgeonrsquos Quarters tells a story or stories of our local history The newest exhibit is on the history of the Umatilla House Hotel one of the grand hotels of the West Other stories include The Dalles as a River City The Celilo Indians The 1890s Parlor The Horn Saloon The Old West Room and the Ladyrsquos Bedroom Across the lawn of the Surgeonrsquos Quarters the vehicle building contains horse drawn vehicles and early automobiles that once drove or rode on the streets of The Dalles Next to the vehicle building is an open air shed which houses more horse drawn vehicles Another story unfolds in the original buildings of the Anderson Homestead The homestead was originally owned by Louis Anderson and family who came to The Dalles in 1890 and purchased farmland on Pleasant Ridge Today you can walk through the Swedish designed and built house privy granary and barnFort Dalles MuseumAnderson Homestead is open seven days a week from 10 am ndash 5 pm at 500 West 15th Street in The Dalles (541) 296-4547 WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP US TELL THE STORIES OF FORT DALLES ANDERSON HOMESTEAD THE DALLES AND THE MID-COLUMBIA AREA We need some active people to show people around the Museum and Homestead For those of you who would rather not do a lot of walking we need people to act as a greeter and cashier We will train you so that you will quickly become a storyteller sharing our arearsquos history Please give us a call for more information on becoming a Fort Dalles Museum Volunteer and PLEASE visit the Fort Dalles Museum soon Thanks Cal McDermid Fort Dalles Museum Director

For the sixth consecutive yearMCMC nurses were among the exclusive group of Oregon healthcare professionals selected to receive the March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Award
Each year the March of Dimes selects one outstanding nurse in each of 16 different categories of care This year two MCMC nurses were selected in two categories continuing the hospitalrsquos streak of having at least one nurse earn the honor every year since the award programrsquos inception This yearrsquos honorees are Lynn Allen MN ARNP and Kathy Kahler RN MSN CHCAA member of the patient care team at MCMCrsquos Celilo Cancer Center Allen was named Advance Practice Nurse of the Year She says she loves visiting with her patients discovering their personal stories and supporting them through one of the most difficult times in their lives Kahler co-director of Visiting Health Services for MCMC is Home Health Nurse of the Year The daughter of a nurse Kahler says it is an honor that patients allow visiting nurses into their home to care for them ldquoItrsquos always been her mission to care for patients where they are most comfortable mdash in the homerdquo says Visiting Health Servicesrsquo other co-director Marcia Medler noting that Kahler coincidentally won her honor during National Home Care amp Hospice Month ldquoI am very humbled by this honorrdquo Kahler says ldquoItrsquos the team that I work with at Visiting Health Services and my family that make me who I am I look forward to growing MCMCrsquos Visiting Health department in the Columbia Gorge region where we cover seven counties in Washington and Oregon and serve over 200 patients every day I want to thank the staff who cares for our patients and also my mom for her inspiration and supportrdquo Interim PresidentCEO Dianne Storby considers MCMCrsquos year-in year-out representation on the nursing awards list to be ldquoan extraordinary achievement for a hospital of our size It is proof of the hard work and dedication to patient care I see every day from the healthcare professionals at MCMC I am proud of our winners past and presentrdquo An awards breakfast for all honored nurses was held in November in Portland The annual event brings together the Oregon and Southwest Washington healthcare community to recognize nursing excellence and achievements in education innovation leadership research and quality patient care

Fort Dalles Museum Update
Dear Chamber Members and Friends Fort Dalles MuseumAnderson Homestead is open for their 111th season sharing the history and the heritage of The Dalles and the eastern Columbia Gorge The Museum in the original Surgeonrsquos Quarters of Fort Dalles opened on August 31st 1905 The Museum was started by a local womenrsquos association called the Sorosis Club Today each room of the Surgeonrsquos Quarters tells a story or stories of our local history The newest exhibit is on the history of the Umatilla House Hotel one of the grand hotels of the West Other stories include The Dalles as a River City The Celilo Indians The 1890s Parlor The Horn Saloon The Old West Room and the Ladyrsquos Bedroom Across the lawn of the Surgeonrsquos Quarters the vehicle building contains horse drawn vehicles and early automobiles that once drove or rode on the streets of The Dalles Next to the vehicle building is an open air shed which houses more horse drawn vehicles Another story unfolds in the original buildings of the Anderson Homestead The homestead was originally owned by Louis Anderson and family who came to The Dalles in 1890 and purchased farmland on Pleasant Ridge Today you can walk through the Swedish designed and built house privy granary and barnFort Dalles MuseumAnderson Homestead is open seven days a week from 10 am ndash 5 pm at 500 West 15th Street in The Dalles (541) 296-4547 WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP US TELL THE STORIES OF FORT DALLES ANDERSON HOMESTEAD THE DALLES AND THE MID-COLUMBIA AREA We need some active people to show people around the Museum and Homestead For those of you who would rather not do a lot of walking we need people to act as a greeter and cashier We will train you so that you will quickly become a storyteller sharing our arearsquos history Please give us a call for more information on becoming a Fort Dalles Museum Volunteer and PLEASE visit the Fort Dalles Museum soon Thanks Cal McDermid Fort Dalles Museum Director

For the sixth consecutive yearMCMC nurses were among the exclusive group of Oregon healthcare professionals selected to receive the March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Award

Fort Dalles Museum Update
Dear Chamber Members and Friends Fort Dalles MuseumAnderson Homestead is open for their 111th season sharing the history and the heritage of The Dalles and the eastern Columbia Gorge The Museum in the original Surgeonrsquos Quarters of Fort Dalles opened on August 31st 1905 The Museum was started by a local womenrsquos association called the Sorosis Club Today each room of the Surgeonrsquos Quarters tells a story or stories of our local history The newest exhibit is on the history of the Umatilla House Hotel one of the grand hotels of the West Other stories include The Dalles as a River City The Celilo Indians The 1890s Parlor The Horn Saloon The Old West Room and the Ladyrsquos Bedroom Across the lawn of the Surgeonrsquos Quarters the vehicle building contains horse drawn vehicles and early automobiles that once drove or rode on the streets of The Dalles Next to the vehicle building is an open air shed which houses more horse drawn vehicles Another story unfolds in the original buildings of the Anderson Homestead The homestead was originally owned by Louis Anderson and family who came to The Dalles in 1890 and purchased farmland on Pleasant Ridge Today you can walk through the Swedish designed and built house privy granary and barnFort Dalles MuseumAnderson Homestead is open seven days a week from 10 am ndash 5 pm at 500 West 15th Street in The Dalles (541) 296-4547 WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP US TELL THE STORIES OF FORT DALLES ANDERSON HOMESTEAD THE DALLES AND THE MID-COLUMBIA AREA We need some active people to show people around the Museum and Homestead For those of you who would rather not do a lot of walking we need people to act as a greeter and cashier We will train you so that you will quickly become a storyteller sharing our arearsquos history Please give us a call for more information on becoming a Fort Dalles Museum Volunteer and PLEASE visit the Fort Dalles Museum soon Thanks Cal McDermid Fort Dalles Museum Director

For the sixth consecutive yearMCMC nurses were among the exclusive group of Oregon healthcare professionals selected to receive the March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Award

Fort Dalles Museum Update
Dear Chamber Members and Friends Fort Dalles MuseumAnderson Homestead is open for their 111th season sharing the history and the heritage of The Dalles and the eastern Columbia Gorge The Museum in the original Surgeonrsquos Quarters of Fort Dalles opened on August 31st 1905 The Museum was started by a local womenrsquos association called the Sorosis Club Today each room of the Surgeonrsquos Quarters tells a story or stories of our local history The newest exhibit is on the history of the Umatilla House Hotel one of the grand hotels of the West Other stories include The Dalles as a River City The Celilo Indians The 1890s Parlor The Horn Saloon The Old West Room and the Ladyrsquos Bedroom Across the lawn of the Surgeonrsquos Quarters the vehicle building contains horse drawn vehicles and early automobiles that once drove or rode on the streets of The Dalles Next to the vehicle building is an open air shed which houses more horse drawn vehicles Another story unfolds in the original buildings of the Anderson Homestead The homestead was originally owned by Louis Anderson and family who came to The Dalles in 1890 and purchased farmland on Pleasant Ridge Today you can walk through the Swedish designed and built house privy granary and barnFort Dalles MuseumAnderson Homestead is open seven days a week from 10 am ndash 5 pm at 500 West 15th Street in The Dalles (541) 296-4547 WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP US TELL THE STORIES OF FORT DALLES ANDERSON HOMESTEAD THE DALLES AND THE MID-COLUMBIA AREA We need some active people to show people around the Museum and Homestead For those of you who would rather not do a lot of walking we need people to act as a greeter and cashier We will train you so that you will quickly become a storyteller sharing our arearsquos history Please give us a call for more information on becoming a Fort Dalles Museum Volunteer and PLEASE visit the Fort Dalles Museum soon Thanks Cal McDermid Fort Dalles Museum Director

For the sixth consecutive yearMCMC nurses were among the exclusive group of Oregon healthcare professionals selected to receive the March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Award

For the sixth consecutive yearMCMC nurses were among the exclusive group of Oregon healthcare professionals selected to receive the March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Award
Each year the March of Dimes selects one outstanding nurse in each of 16 different categories of care This year two MCMC nurses were selected in two categories continuing the hospitalrsquos streak of having at least one nurse earn the honor every year since the award programrsquos inception This yearrsquos honorees are Lynn Allen MN ARNP and Kathy Kahler RN MSN CHCAA member of the patient care team at MCMCrsquos Celilo Cancer Center Allen was named Advance Practice Nurse of the Year She says she loves visiting with her patients discovering their personal stories and supporting them through one of the most difficult times in their lives Kahler co-director of Visiting Health Services for MCMC is Home Health Nurse of the Year The daughter of a nurse Kahler says it is an honor that patients allow visiting nurses into their home to care for them ldquoItrsquos always been her mission to care for patients where they are most comfortable mdash in the homerdquo says Visiting Health Servicesrsquo other co-director Marcia Medler noting that Kahler coincidentally won her honor during National Home Care amp Hospice Month ldquoI am very humbled by this honorrdquo Kahler says ldquoItrsquos the team that I work with at Visiting Health Services and my family that make me who I am I look forward to growing MCMCrsquos Visiting Health department in the Columbia Gorge region where we cover seven counties in Washington and Oregon and serve over 200 patients every day I want to thank the staff who cares for our patients and also my mom for her inspiration and supportrdquo Interim PresidentCEO Dianne Storby considers MCMCrsquos year-in year-out representation on the nursing awards list to be ldquoan extraordinary achievement for a hospital of our size It is proof of the hard work and dedication to patient care I see every day from the healthcare professionals at MCMC I am proud of our winners past and presentrdquo An awards breakfast for all honored nurses was held in November in Portland The annual event brings together the Oregon and Southwest Washington healthcare community to recognize nursing excellence and achievements in education innovation leadership research and quality patient care

Fort Dalles Museum Update
Dear Chamber Members and Friends Fort Dalles MuseumAnderson Homestead is open for their 111th season sharing the history and the heritage of The Dalles and the eastern Columbia Gorge The Museum in the original Surgeonrsquos Quarters of Fort Dalles opened on August 31st 1905 The Museum was started by a local womenrsquos association called the Sorosis Club Today each room of the Surgeonrsquos Quarters tells a story or stories of our local history The newest exhibit is on the history of the Umatilla House Hotel one of the grand hotels of the West Other stories include The Dalles as a River City The Celilo Indians The 1890s Parlor The Horn Saloon The Old West Room and the Ladyrsquos Bedroom Across the lawn of the Surgeonrsquos Quarters the vehicle building contains horse drawn vehicles and early automobiles that once drove or rode on the streets of The Dalles Next to the vehicle building is an open air shed which houses more horse drawn vehicles Another story unfolds in the original buildings of the Anderson Homestead The homestead was originally owned by Louis Anderson and family who came to The Dalles in 1890 and purchased farmland on Pleasant Ridge Today you can walk through the Swedish designed and built house privy granary and barnFort Dalles MuseumAnderson Homestead is open seven days a week from 10 am ndash 5 pm at 500 West 15th Street in The Dalles (541) 296-4547 WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP US TELL THE STORIES OF FORT DALLES ANDERSON HOMESTEAD THE DALLES AND THE MID-COLUMBIA AREA We need some active people to show people around the Museum and Homestead For those of you who would rather not do a lot of walking we need people to act as a greeter and cashier We will train you so that you will quickly become a storyteller sharing our arearsquos history Please give us a call for more information on becoming a Fort Dalles Museum Volunteer and PLEASE visit the Fort Dalles Museum soon Thanks Cal McDermid Fort Dalles Museum Director

Fort Dalles Museum Update
Dear Chamber Members and Friends Fort Dalles MuseumAnderson Homestead is open for their 111th season sharing the history and the heritage of The Dalles and the eastern Columbia Gorge The Museum in the original Surgeonrsquos Quarters of Fort Dalles opened on August 31st 1905 The Museum was started by a local womenrsquos association called the Sorosis Club Today each room of the Surgeonrsquos Quarters tells a story or stories of our local history The newest exhibit is on the history of the Umatilla House Hotel one of the grand hotels of the West Other stories include The Dalles as a River City The Celilo Indians The 1890s Parlor The Horn Saloon The Old West Room and the Ladyrsquos Bedroom Across the lawn of the Surgeonrsquos Quarters the vehicle building contains horse drawn vehicles and early automobiles that once drove or rode on the streets of The Dalles Next to the vehicle building is an open air shed which houses more horse drawn vehicles Another story unfolds in the original buildings of the Anderson Homestead The homestead was originally owned by Louis Anderson and family who came to The Dalles in 1890 and purchased farmland on Pleasant Ridge Today you can walk through the Swedish designed and built house privy granary and barnFort Dalles MuseumAnderson Homestead is open seven days a week from 10 am ndash 5 pm at 500 West 15th Street in The Dalles (541) 296-4547 WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP US TELL THE STORIES OF FORT DALLES ANDERSON HOMESTEAD THE DALLES AND THE MID-COLUMBIA AREA We need some active people to show people around the Museum and Homestead For those of you who would rather not do a lot of walking we need people to act as a greeter and cashier We will train you so that you will quickly become a storyteller sharing our arearsquos history Please give us a call for more information on becoming a Fort Dalles Museum Volunteer and PLEASE visit the Fort Dalles Museum soon Thanks Cal McDermid Fort Dalles Museum Director
