Notice!!

The installation and mounting of your Audio Integrations Perfect Fit Enclosure is fairly easy and straight forward. However, it does require some basic tools and skills, there is a risk of accidentally puncturing the subwoofers

surround when reinstalling the sub. If you do not feel comfortable performing the required steps we strongly

recommend you contact your local stereo shop for installation help. Audio Integrations is not liable for any damage to the enclosure, any subwoofer used, or any damage to the vehicle due to improper installation.

No Drilling Required!!! Because of conforming to your trunks contours, your Perfect Fit Enclosure mounts

firmly and securely with bolts, no drilling through the car’s sheet metal!

Your Perfect Fit Enclosure was inspected, prior to shipping for any cosmetic or structural imperfections. Please take the time

to inspect your enclosure to make sure there was no damage during the shipping process.

Please read all instructions before installing.

Before installation

It is recommended that you place and pre-drill your subwoofers mounting holes prior to the in car mounting.

It’s easiest to place the enclosure on a table as it would be mounted in the vehicle (upright). Paying attention to

any logo’s/markings now align the subwoofer in the enclosure so they are reading correctly and straight. Once you have the subwoofer in the position it’s easiest to carefully place the enclosure/sub on its back and use some

pillows or something to hold it flat so the sub doesn’t want to slide to one side or the other. Using the supplied drill bit mark the holes, drilling into the carpet & MDF slightly.

Drilling Through Carpet Trick – Using the 1/8 inch drill bit in a drill going in reverse direction first will “burn” through the carpet, without removing the bit from the carpet place the drill in its forward direction and continue to drill into the MDF. This method will prevent the carpet from being caught and pulled up while drilling. To prevent possible damage to the subwoofer it’s recommend you simply start/mark the holes by drilling only a

small distance on all mounting holes, then remove the subwoofer and finish drilling all the way through the enclosure.

Installation

Two separate mounting bolts are included with the hardware package. The first one (described above in included hardware) is necessary; the second is optional and will provide some additional strength. If you choose to use both the secondary mounting hole has to be drilled in the enclosure.

(See Pic #1)

1 - Masking tape will be used to mark the mounting holes locations from the enclosure onto your factory trunk panel, mask off a small area as shown (See Pic#2). Slide/place the enclosure in place, while holding it

tightly to the panel with the drill bit in your fingers reach through the subwoofer hole and mark the upper

mounting hole and the lower optional mounting hole (if choosing to use both mounts) onto the masking tape. The masking tape will provide a good location mark as it will show an indent where you applied pressure with

the drill bit. You may want to mark the indent you just made with a felt pen as well.

2 - You will need to cut a “X” in the carpet where your mark has been made to allow for the bolt(s) to pass through. If the panels are marked well it’s easier to make this cut once the panel has been fully pulled from

the vehicle. (See Pic #3)

3 - Now the trunk panels have to be removed starting with the upper center one. First disconnect the dome

light; pry from the passenger side gently with a small flat blade screwdriver. There are 5 clips holding the upper part of the center panel in (See Pic#4), three slide toward the rear of the car, and two are cargo

hooks that have squeeze tabs to release them. Once removed there are tabs all along the upper trunk seal,

these pry back easily. Two more push pins hold the lower part of this panel in just in front of the spare tire (See Pic#5) and then the panel can be removed from the vehicle. The panel will take a bit of wiggling to

get out, but does come out rather easily; just a bit awkward is all.

4 - The passenger side and rear panel have to come out next. Start by removing the chrome cargo hooks – flip

up their loops and pry up the small black center trim with a screwdriver to expose the 10mm bolt head (See Pic#6). Remove the two on the passenger side and the one on the driver’s side closest to the rear of the

vehicle. Next you’ll remove the two small cargo tubs on both sides by simply lifting them up.

5 - Now remove the plastic trim that surrounds the trunk latch, there are three push pins holding this panel in. We found that using a small flat blade in these pins works best to get them to release a bit, and then use a

panel tool to remove them completely. Gently lift up on the entire plastic trim piece, the remaining clips

(molded onto the panel’s backside) of the panel should pop and the panel will release.

6 - There are two more push pins and one plastic tube like clip holding in the side panel, remove these with a panel tool, and pull out the passenger side trim panel. (See Pic #7)

7 - Once all the panels are removed it’s time to attach the mounting hardware. The first/main mounting bolt is located on an existing threaded stud (See Pic #8). Remove the existing nut on the stud and install in this

order the supplied 5/8” washers for spacing, the 6mm coupler nut, 6 mm threaded rod and 6mm lock down nut and then tighten with a 10mm wrench. (See Pic #9) If not doing the optional second mount,

skip to Step #9.

(Optional Mounting Step #8) 8 - The second mounting bolt sandwiches two flat washers against the panel and uses the panel as a whole to

help secure the enclosure. Locate the lower (toward the rear of the vehicle) “x” incision you made previously

in the carpeted side panel. Place the 2 inch bolt through the big 2” washer, and then through the panel from the backside so it would protrude into the cargo area. Try to stay as centered as possible through the “x”

incision; this will help keep everything aligned properly. On the front side place the 1¼ inch washer over the bolt and then the other coupling nut, now tighten down until it sandwiches the panel nicely. (See Pic #10)

9 - Before reinstalling the side panel its best to run your subwoofer speaker wiring from your amp, you don’t

want to disturb the fitment of the enclosure so it’s best to run behind the panel keeping in mind the panel’s mounting points. The terminal cup on the enclosure is located up high by the plastic access cover for the tail

light so leave enough slack to run the wire up there and out into the cargo area 12 – 16 inches.

10 - Reinstall the side panel; remove the plastic access cover for the taillight on the panel and pull the speaker

wire slack (12” – 16”) through the opening. (See Pic#11) Be sure to keep the access cover in a safe place if you plan on selling the vehicle someday. Reinstall the rest of the panels in reverse order as

you removed them making sure to get all clips and panels seated correctly.

11 - Once all the panels are back in place you can install and mount the enclosure. Slide the enclosure close to

where it’s going to go and connect wire to the terminal cup, making sure to observe correct polarity. You want enough slack on the speaker wire you can easily connect to the terminal cup, the excess slack can be

pushed back into the access hole as the enclosure goes into place.

12 - Now comes the fun part… slowly slide the enclosure back till it hits the newly installed mounting bolts. If

you did both mounting options, you’ll want to use a flashlight and start first by locating the lower mounting bolt through its corresponding hole in the enclosure. Once you get the bolt started into the hole and its

slightly protruding into the enclosure move to the upper mount. We recommend sticking your finger behind the enclosure and guiding the upper mounting bolt into its corresponding hole in the enclosure. Once both

bolts are started you can slide the enclosure back and into place, some wiggling may be necessary to get it fully seated against the panel.

13 - Now place the provided nut/washer combo onto the stud(s) in the enclosure. When installing the hardware, be sure to observe the correct order inside the enclosure – 1 rubber washer (against the fiberglass) with the

large 1” flat metal washer on top of it, and then lock washer, and 6 mm nut. (See Pic #12) Be sure to tighten them enough that the rubber washer seals the enclosure but not too tight to start warping the

metal/panel. You want the enclosure to be snug but not over tightened; a good rule of thumb is to flatten

the lock washer.

14 - Replace any Polyfill that was removed during installation connect and reinstall sub with the screws provided.

Warranty Page

Lifetime Warranty Statement

Audio Integrations, LLC warrants this product, Perfect Fit Enclosure, to be free from defects in workmanship for the life of the enclosure, provided that it was purchased from an authorized Audio Integrations retailer or directly from Audio Integrations, LLC. Trim rings, terminal cups and fabric carry a 2 year limited warranty and are not covered by the lifetime warranty. An original receipt is required for proof of original ownership and must accompany the return of the enclosure.

This warranty is not transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of this product in its

original installation.

Original purchaser must reside within the United States and be able to provide proof of purchase with the sales receipt from the Audio Integrations authorized retailer or directly from Audio Integrations, LLC in order to qualify for warranty coverage.

Should a manufacturing defect occur on the enclosure, Audio Integrations, LLC will repair or replace the

defective product with a product of the same or equivalent value and performance. Trim rings, terminal cups and fabric carry a 2 year limited warranty and are not covered by the lifetime warranty. Whether or not a product is repaired or replaced is the sole discretion of Audio Integrations, LLC. Any Diamond Audio Product sold with a Perfect Fit Enclosure or separately, including but not limited to: Subwoofers, Speakers or Amplifiers, purchased with or with out an enclosure, shall be handled through Diamond Audio Technology’s limited warranties. Audio Integrations, LLC is an authorized dealer for Diamond Audio Technology and can process warranty claims on their behalf as we so choose. Warranties are void if serial numbers have been removed, altered or defaced.

Damage or failure caused by any of the following is not covered under this warranty policy:

negligence, improper use, abuse, product modification, unauthorized repair attempts, accidents, acts of nature, water damage, moisture damage, misrepresentations by authorized retailers, and improper/inadequate packaging during return shipping.

How to Obtain Warranty Service

In the event that an Audio Integrations product should require service, you must contact Audio Integrations

LLC or an authorized dealer and they can expedite your claim. All claims must fall into the guidelines listed above and be accompanied by a copy of the original sales receipt. Product returned for warranty service must be freight-prepaid, properly packaged and clearly marked with the Return Authorization (RA) number issued by Audio Integrations, LLC. Any product that is improperly packaged, does not have an RA number clearly marked on the package or never received an RA, may be refused upon delivery. Audio Integrations, LLC does not assume any liability for lost or misdirected product.

Repair or replacement under this warranty is the exclusive remedy of the consumer. Audio Integrations, LLC shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages for breach of any expressed or implied warranty on this product. Some states do not allow the exclusion, limitation, incidental or consequential damages, or allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights that may vary from state to state.
