Feasibility StudiesWhat is a Feasibility Study?
Feasibility studies assess the readiness of a nonprofit to undertake a large-scale project.
Both internal and external stakeholders are interviewed, and they look at technological capabilities, marketing & communication strategies, etc.
Should we hire an outside consultant for the study?
The experts say yes - at least for the interview part!
People are more willing to be straightforward with a consultant
The consultant can be more candid with leadership when it comes to their study findings.

a. Consult a Gift Range Calculator - this creates your donor pyramid for the campaign
3. Communication Strategy - both for the quiet phase and the public phase of the campaign
4. Create incentives for large gifts (ex. naming opportunities)5. Create a stewardship plan for donors at ALL levels
Stewardship should never be an afterthought
Create a Gift Range Chart1. Use your Gift Range Calculator to figure out how many of each gift
amount you need. 2. Create your prospect list for each amount based on the number of
prospects required for each gift amount.3. Assign solicitors for each amount.

Boards + Capital CampaignsMajor Donors will want to know that your board is as committed to your efforts as they are - board giving and solicitation is a MUST!
Other key considerations:● Can you meet your annual operating budget without your board’s annual
gifts?● Set clear expectations with your board concerning Leadership Gifts - what
percentage of your total fundraising goal will they gift? 20% is a good place to start the conversation (your consultant can address this question, too)!
● Remember that board members can create pledges to be paid over the course of the campaign - a large, 2-3 year pledge is completely acceptable!
