• How does it work?
- Take a Naphtha Hydrotreater unit (NHT)
- A Feed Surge Drum High Level Alarm annunciates
- The following information is now automatically sent to the operators
Experion console when they select the FSD alarm:
Cause:
Upstream unit feed increased without increasing NHT feed rate, decreasing
NHT reactor charge
Consequence:
Full Feed Surge Drum
Corrective Action:
Reduce flow into FSD from upstream unit or increase feed to NHT after Feed
Surge Drum
Time to Respond:
5–15 minutes
