FRIDAY 5th MAYAt 7:30 p.m. The carousel “Dragons and Dinosaurs” opens. An ecological and handcrafted carousel with floats, dragons and dinosaurs.At 7:30 p.m. Opening of the Exhibition “Art and Craftwork Meeting”. Presentation and visit of the 15 different Cave-Workshops with their art and handicraft displays.At 8:30 p.m. Opening of the José Cerezo’s Exhibition. We present the last creative experience of this artist, who participates in RODEARTE with a display of pictures which have great artistic and culture values for Rojales and the Vega Baja region (see cover). This exhibition also includes a series of figurative representations based on the human body entitled “Sketches of the Soul”. Place: Mengolero’s Cave.At 9:15 p.m. Opening of the Carlos Carmona’s Exhibition. This self-taught sculptor presents his most recent creations of Arte Povera, fusing materials, themes and experiences. Place: Cave 13.At 10 p.m. “All that jazz” Band in concert, bringing us the Dixieland sound (Jazz-hot from Southern USA). New Orleans, the cradle of Jazz, arrives to Rojales! Place: Replaceta del Teatro.

SATURDAY 6th MAYAt 10:30 a.m. The Cave-Workshops and Zoco open their doors. Artists and artisans of the region display their works.From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Workshops for children. Cave 2 Recycling, Cave 15 Mini-pictures.From 2 p.m. Lunch Time at the restaurant area.From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Workshops for children. Cave 11 Painting, Cave 12 Pottery Wheel, Cave 14 Leather.

At 8:30 p.m. Circus magic show “los pardos” with juggling, magic, escapism, balancing acts, etc. Place: Replaceta del Teatro.At 10 p.m. “La Trova Gitana” in concert. Nine musicians on the stage. Three gipsy singer-songwriters with a long musical career: Antonio Remache, Fraskito and Salomón Motos, accompanied by guitars, drums and backsingers. They present their last compositions about topics such as racism, social isolation, immigration, domestic violence, etc. They have composed songs for other artists such as Remedios Amaya, Niña Pastori, Rosario Flores, Dianan Navarro and Pasión Vega. Flamenco and Mediterranean tunes! Place: Replaceta del Teatro.

SUNDAY 7th MAYAt 10:30 a.m. The Cave-Workshops and Zoco open their doors. Artist and artisans of the region display their works.At 11:30 a.m. El Cascabot, Traditional band of Dolçainas (Valencian oboe) and Tabalets (Valencian drum) from Elche, parading round the streets and caves area.At 11:30 a.m. The Pirate Adventure: Board Her! Pirate Gymkhana, a race with drama, games, make up and treasure seeking. Place: Replaceta del Teatro.At 12:30 p.m. Otto + Sister System in unplugged concert. A combination of blues, pop and flamenco sounds. Place: Replaceta del Merendero.At 7 p.m. Music & Dance Show by the Municipal Dance School of Rojales. Place: Replaceta del Teatro.At 7:30 p.m. Entremares in concert. This Galician duo made of J. L. Fraga (clarinet & saxophone) and Daniel Santaos (guitar) presents a journey through the Atlantic traditional music (fados, choros, mornas and Celtic tunes). Emotional music to enjoy! Place: Replaceta del Teatro.

VIERNES 5 DE MAYO

19:30h. Apertura del carrusel infantil “DRAGONES Y DINOSAURIOS”. Carrusel artesanal ecológico con carrozas, dragones y dinosaurios.

19:30h. Inauguración Exposiciones “ENCUENTROS DE ARTE Y ARTESANÍA”. Recorrido y presentación de las Exposiciones de arte-artesanía en las 15 cuevas pertenecientes al zoco de Cuevas del Rodeo.

20:30h. Inauguración de la EXPOSICIÓN DE JOSÉ CEREZO. Les presentamos la última experiencia creativa de este artista, el cual participa en Rodearte con una muestra de cuadros de gran valor artístico y cultural para Rojales y la comarca del Bajo Segura (ver portada). Incluyendo también una serie de representaciones figurativas basadas en el cuerpo humano titulada “Esbozos del Alma”.

Lugar: Cueva Mengolero.

21:15h. Inauguración de la EXPOSICIÓN DE CARLOS CARMONA. El escultor de las cuevas nos presenta sus más recientes creaciones de arte povera, en el que fusiona materiales, temáticas y vivencias.

Lugar: Cueva nº13.

22h. EL SONIDO DIXIELAND (el jazz-hot que se originó en el sur de Estados Unidos) llega a las cuevas de Rojales con el directo de la banda “ALL THAT JAZZ”. ¡Nueva Orleans y la cuna del Jazz!

Lugar: Replaceta del Teatro.

SÁBADO 6 DE MAYO

10:30h. Apertura del zoco y cuevas. Muestra de ARTE y ARTESANÍA de la comarca.

11h. a 13h. TALLERES INFANTILES impartidos por el Zoco artístico-artesanal Cuevas del Rodeo. Cueva nº2 Reciclado y nº15 Minicuadros.

A partir de las 14h. Comida. Área restaurante.

De 18h. a 20h. TALLERES INFANTILES impartidos por el Zoco artístico-artesanal Cuevas del Rodeo. Cueva nº11 Pintura, nº12 Torno y nº 14 Piel.

20:30h.”CIRCUS MAGIC SHOW” LOS PARDOS. Gran espectáculo de circo que integra: malabares, magia, camisa de fuerza, equilibrios espadas, platos locos…

Lugar: Replaceta del Teatro.

22h. Concierto a cargo de “LA TROVA GITANA”. En escena 9 músicos. Tres cantautores gitanos de dilatada carrera, Antonio Remache, Fraskito y Salomón Motos con guitarras, percusiones y coros. Ahora nos presentan sus últimas composiciones que reflejan la sensibilidad por cuestiones como: el racismo, la exclusión social, la inmigración, la violencia de género, etc. Han compuesto temas para otros artistas como Remedios Amaya, Niña Pastori, Rosario Flores, Pasión Vega. ¡Aires flamencos y mediterráneos!Lugar: Replaceta del Teatro.

DOMINGO 7 DE MAYO

10:30h. Apertura del zoco y cuevas. Muestra de ARTE y ARTESANÍA de la comarca.

11:30h. EL CASCABOT. Colla de Dolçainers y Tabaleters de Elche. Pasacalles de música tradicional valenciana por el pueblo y las cuevas.

11:30h. LA AVENTURA PIRATA: ¡Al Abordaje! Yincana de piratas que mezcla lo teatral con una carrera de orientación, juegos, maquillaje y búsqueda de tesoros. Lugar: Replaceta del Teatro.

12:30h. OTTO + SISTER SYSTEM. En concierto el cantautor de rock OTTO. Y las SISTER SYSTEM con su fusión en acústico de sonidos del blues, pop y flamenco. Lugar: Replaceta del Merendero.

A partir de las 14h. Comida. Área restaurante.

19h. MÚSICA Y DANZA. Espectáculo a cargo de la Escuela Municipal de Danza de Rojales. Lugar: Replaceta del Teatro.

19:30h. PROYECTO MUSICAL “ENTREMARES”. El dúo gallego formado por J. L. Fraga (clarinete, saxofón) y Daniel Santos (guitarra) nos propone un viaje a través de la música tradicional atlántica (fados, choros, mornas y ritmos celtas) ¡Música para escuchar y emocionarse!Lugar: Replaceta del Teatro.
