Health and Safety in Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals has been a constant

industry concern for a long time, however in recent years the emphasis

has been more on a holistic approach to workplace well-being.

Traditional topics, such as behavioral safety, the causes of human

error and the target of achieving the zero-incident level are still of key

importance. The role of Health, Safety and Security Professionals is

evolving and developing to take on these new challenges.

Attend our conference and learn through interactive discussions,

moderated round table debates and a selection of case studies the

challenges that face Health, Safety and Security Professionals in a

changing and accelerated world where merely accident prevention is

not enough. Stress management, maintenance of a healthy work-life

balance, optimisation of leadership development and a discussion of

the skills needed for successful Health and Safety professionals is as

much part of this years “Health and Safety Excellence“ as the

topics that have been under discussion for years, but are still as relevant

as ever.

The Oil, Gas, Chemical and Petrochemical Industries are viewed as particularly risky environments to work in. Last year over 60 industry experts came together to discuss challenges, strategies and future trends when it comes to Health and Safety culture and the holistic approach to workplace well-being which is adopted now increasingly and announces the way into the future. Traditional topics, such as behavioral safety, the causes of human error and the target of achieving a zero-incident level are still of key importance until that target will be achieved.

Our 2nd Annual event addresses the challenges that face Health and Safety Professionals in a changing and accelerated world where merely accident prevention is not enough and needs to be dealt with in a more holistic approach. Join our „2nd annual Health and safety excellence” to hear from leading experts in the field of safety, occupational medicine and stress management.

Join our interactive discussions, moderated round table debates and selection of cases studies from major Oil, Gas, Chemical and Petrochemical Companies who share their experience of implementing different safety measures, programs and strategies.

STEERING COMMITTEE

Health, Safety& Environment has been an industry concern for a long time. However, in recent years, attention has moved more towards a holistic approach to workplace well-being, that heralds the way forward. Traditional topics, such as behavioral safety, the causes of human error and zero incident level will be always of a key importance. Nonetheless, the highlighted question of today is to discuss what is coming next and what will the safety culture of the future be, along with new alternatives to behavioral safety.Last year more than 60 industry experts came together to discuss the challenges and strategies faced by Health & Safety Professionals in a world of accelerated change. In May 2012, we will be discussing a future, where accident prevention is not enough and must be dealt with in a more holistic approach. Join our “6th Annual HSE Excellence Europe” to share with leading experts of safety, occupational medicine and stress management.

He now uses his experiences to warn others of the devastating consequences of not speaking out when you know something to be unsafe. “If by telling my story I can influence somebody not to take that shortcut, take that chance then I will continue to share my experiences.” Jason now talks to both Blue Chip companies and small independent businesses in the UK, across Europe and soon the WORLD “The main reason I didn‘t speak up ... I didn‘t think it would happen to me. That voice has gone off in your head, which it does every time there is a dodgy situation or something‘s unsafe ... you override it with one excuse ... you say “Ah! But its not going to happen to me‘ and that‘s how you manage your risk on a daily basis”
