INTRODUCTIONS & APPROVAL OF AGENDA Meeting objectives: 1. Initiate a review and revision or reaffirmation of API 945 2. Establish a Task Group and Chairman as needed. II. GROUP DISCUSSION A. API 945 was last reaffirmed in 2008 and is due for action by end of 2013 B. Are there enough changes needed to justify a revision? i) Suggest consideration to update 5.2.3.1 to reflect WRC Bulletin 452 Recommended Practice to Local Heating of Welds in Pressure Vessels and ANSI/AWS D10.10-90 Recommended Practices for Local Heating of Welds in Piping and Tubing ii) API 582 gives a more restrictive PWHT temperature (1150 to 1200°F) than API 945 (1100 to 1200°F). Changes justified? iii) Any other needs changes? C. Discuss revision versus reaffirmation III. VOLUNTEERS FOR TASK GROUP AND CHAIRMAN? IV. ANY OTHER DISCUSSION? IV. ACTION ITEMS V. ADJOURN

Notes:

1. Original approved funding was $100K. $50K has been earmarked for MPC database pilot study. $10K was applied to 934F consulting work. $40K remains for ethanol SCC work contracted in 2009.

2. $35K for tank monitoring and $35K for SCC testing.

3. Equity Engineering $10K in 2008 and $20K in 2009.

4. Contracted with Equity Engineering to develop MPC database business model proposal.

5. Funding requested in late 2008 for 934F Master Editor Work. Original request was for $30K. $10K already committed, see note 1.

6. Funding requested for Master Editor/ Consultant work to take learnings from new industry 2.25Cr-1Mo-V JIP’s and keep 934A and B updated. Expect future funding to be on the order of $50K for 2 to 3 years - Not funded, no short term need.

7. Proposed in late 2008 to co-fund with MTI casting quality research. Approved for 2010. Contract in preparation.

8. Original proposed funding of $50K has been supplemented by a request for $166K to fund the Petro Arch pilot project. $50K is for project management.
