Christmas stimulates the senses with vibrant colours, rich aromas, cheerful sounds, warm feelings and most importantly luxurious tastes. There’s so much to be inspired by. CheesesTo achieve a balanced cheeseboard you need to feature a selection from across

as many categories as the size of your board (or restaurant) allows. The minimum

required is a hard cheese, soft cheese, semi-soft cheese and a blue. Depending

on the type and style of your outlet you may wish to have solely regional cheeses

such as Yorkshire or Lancashire or purely British farmhouse cheeses, but usually and

particularly for a large selection cheeseboards, it will be a mixture of British and

European. A varied combination of shapes, sizes, colours and textures is desirable.

BiscuitsBiscuits are popular served with cheese in Britain, although not so on the Continent.
