Pincushion “BLING” Supplies based on a 1” bottle cap: fabric glue, 3” diameter circle of fabric, 4” piece of ¼” (white or black) elastic, bottle cap with two pre- drilled holes , 4” piece of ¼-3/8” ribbon, circle of felt same size as bottle cap and holes that line up on bottle cap, small amount of fiberfill, strong thread, small rubber band. For bottle caps larger than 1” cut a circle of fabric that is 3 times the diameter of the bottle cap. Place bottle cap on felt mark holes and trace around bottle cap. Punch holes. 1 2 3 1. Glue your felt circle to bottle cap (ring base) top, lining up holes. 2. Push one end of elastic through one hole and tie a secure knot close to the end. 3. Repeat with the other end.

Pincushion “BLING”

1. Glue your felt circle to bottle cap (ring base) top, lining up holes. 2. Push one end of elastic through one hole and tie a secure knot close to the end. 3. Repeat with the other end.

4. Use heavy duty thread to make a running stitch around the entire edge of your fabric circle. 5. Pull the threads to gather slightly and then fill with fiberfill. 6. Press fiberfill down with your finger, continude adding and pushing down until full. 7. Pull the thread taut while you knot the thread.

8. Put glue inside bottle cap (ring base). 9. Shove ball inside and hang onto it for a minute while you put glue around the side of the bottle cap. 10. Lay ribbon over glue, put a dab of glue at the end of the ribbon and press it under. Put more glue

under the end and lay it over the raw end of the ribbon. Secure with small rubber band till dry.

11. Stitch felt to ribbon. 12. Stitch ribbon to fabric ball.
