Moreover, thank you for your personal recognition and support of the value of music and arts education. Request for Corporate Engagement in Music for All Programming. We have enclosed a Corporate Sponsorship Request for Texas DQ, which includes benefits and opportunities for supporting our mission to create, provide and expand positively life-changing experiences through music for all. We are now in our second full fiscal year of operations since Eric Martin became our chief executive officer. Since, August 2009 we have substantially reduced our negative fund balance (expected to be fully eliminated in FY14) and developed, published, and implemented a five-year strategic plan. Those plans focus on our continued and expanded delivery of high quality programming, launch of new, collaborative web and electronic based advocacy and awareness initiatives, and organizational focus on sustainability, advancement and assessment. We are lead by a committed board of directors and a stable and professional management team. Our Strategic Plan and FY13 Financials (990 and Audit) are available online at www.musicforall.org. The next four years will be filled with new collaborations and significant programmatic expansion and growth, all while allowing for expanded participation and access. The success of our plans will depend, in part, on establishment of effective and engaged partnerships like the one we are requesting of you and Texas DQ.

Value Adds:

Sales Incentives: Music for All will assist you in creating a program that ties purchase of your product directly to an offer of interest to Music for All participants. For example, when someone purchases a Dilly Bar (as an example) on a certain day of the week, 10% of the profit goes to support music education and advocacy. Of the 10%, Music for All will use 5% to support our advocacy efforts for all schools and music programs across the country and the other 5% will be given directly back to the purchasers’ school of choice to support their music programs. Cause Overlay: The Music for All Foundation (fundraising arm of Music for All) can deliver a highly relevant sales incentive where Texas DQ can use it most, at the point of purchase. Promote sale of Texas DQ products with an offer to make a donation to the Music for All Foundation Scholarship Program with each purchase. Using the Music for All Foundation as your overlay, you can tap into the interest and affinity of loyal customers to help support the cause of music and arts education in schools therefore furthering the advocacy and outreach efforts in your community. Music for All Foundation can set up a restricted fund that can be utilized for Texas students to participate in Music for All programs, which will be paid for by the Texas DQ Scholarship Program. A Strategic (and Limitless) Future: Music for All’s strategic plan over the next five years will maintain and grow its traditional core wind programming, and continue to focus unprecedented energies on further developing the Orchestra America brand, as well as Jazz, Percussion and Middle School programming. Another area where MFA would like to embark is on the choral component of music and arts education. Music for All will continue to create and deliver once-in-a-lifetime experiences like international music touring ensembles and the Tournament of Roses® Honor Band. Texas DQ, along with all of Music for All’s sponsors will play an integral part in planning and programming for the future of Music for All and aligned with its active engagement in music and music education advocacy.

Texas Dairy Queen Sponsorship Proposal 5

Conclusion: Texas DQ can become an integral piece of the Music for All family through Corporate Sponsorship. We know that the most powerful and compelling marketing force comes when a cause has some direct relationship with sponsors and is integrated into the brands of its sponsors. Music for All believes a partnership with Texas DQ is a powerful and compelling cause-branding relationship that will be mutually beneficial for both organizations and those we serve and the causes we support. We view this partnership as a powerful positioning strategy used to enhance corporate image with significant community impact. For certain, any support Texas DQ provides to Music for All will advance our commitment to active music making across the country.

Music for All, Inc.

A. Introduction & Background of Main Event

Music for All’s mission is to create, provide and expand positively life-changing experiences through music for all. Music for All (MFA) is a multifaceted organization that provides music education for middle and high school students in marching bands, concert bands, orchestras, music ensembles or as individuals; offers professional development for instrumental music teachers; organizes a series of regional and national performance events that are culminating experiences for schools and student musicians; and serves as an advocate for scholastic music programs across the country. MFA’s sponsorship program opportunities include year-round support of all of our educational programs. Since 1975, MFA, through its Bands of America and Orchestra America programs, has been a destination and set the standard for scholastic music ensemble performance and student and teacher education. MFA uses its national profile programming to model, showcase, recognize and provide individual, teacher and organizational examples of music performance excellence and achievement. MFA’s programmatic model is designed to mirror, supplement and extend the classroom and performance model adopted in most American scholastic settings. MFA provides ensemble experiences, as well as hands-on opportunities for individual student performance training, and student and teacher growth and development. MFA’s programs for individuals are focused on the development of self-worth, accountability and the leadership potential of each individual, using music education and performance as the vehicle to help participants grow, recognize and act on their human potential. MFA’s educational programs include 20+ annual events, including the Bands of America Grand National Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium, a national series of Regional and Super Regional Championships at prominent venues across the nation; the Music for All Summer Symposium national music and leadership camp (“America’s Camp”) for students and teachers at Ball Sate University; and the Music for All National Festival for concert bands, orchestra, jazz and percussion ensembles. Each year, MFA’s world-class performance opportunities reach more than 400,000 individuals across the United States and around the globe. B. Introduction, Effectiveness, And Success Of Sponsor Solicitation Package

MFA has a rich history of 20+ years of success with our sponsorship program with our 15+ music industry corporate partners. Through our strategic planning process we set goals and objectives to diversify our funding stream, therefore, we began seeking sponsorships from a variety of corporations outside of the music industry. Each year of the five-year strategic plan maps out the organizations strategies for securing new sponsors and includes the funding requirements necessary for reaching our goals. With the creation of a new sponsorship package of materials for our Super Regional Championships, Music for All now has the ability to effectively cultivate prospective sponsors, turning them into strategic assets who support the mission, vision and programming of the organization for long-term sustainability. The prospecting process has been strategically aligned with our plans for

growth including our niche market areas where our major programs take place, such as Texas, in the instance of the Texas Dairy Queen proposal. MFA’s sponsorship proposals are all customized for the prospective sponsor. Our approach for creating tailored packages for prospective sponsors, includes:

1. Researching the company to determine the level of fit with our core values, mission, vision, goals and objectives.

2. Based on our research findings and a preliminary understanding of the company’s background and its assets, we develop a proposal that will allow for furthering the prospective sponsors marketing goals and objectives and/or their community outreach initiatives.

3. Once the initial proposal is finalized, a meeting is set up with the prospective sponsor to pitch the proposal.

4. During the presentation of the proposal, we seek to find the win-win opportunities the prospective sponsor shows interest in. This creates immediate buy-in and starts the relationship building process. As we work through this process, we begin to share activation ideas and concepts with the prospective sponsor so that they may come to understand how our sponsorship and marketing teams will work with them in the future.

5. To finalize the proposal process, we create a sponsorship agreement based on the initial proposal and the negotiation during the presentation process.

MFA’s sponsorship proposal for Texas Dairy Queen was hugely successful for the organization as it allowed us to branch out into the food service industry to gain regional support in a niche market for the organization. With the acceptance of our highest level of sponsorship offered, Texas Dairy Queen became the title sponsor for the Texas Regional and Super Regional Marching Band Championships as well as an overall corporate sponsor of all of our programs.
