SPOUSES TOURFriday, April 1, 2016The Culinary Institute of America tour, Cooking Demonstration, Lunch at Nao Latin Gastro Bar, and Shopping at the Pearl

The group will start the day with the opportunity to browse or shop all of the adorable boutiques located in the Pearl. Some of the many options include Ten Thou-sand Villages, which offers treasures handcrafted by artisans around the world; Niche Boutique, a collection of modern soft separates with rich textures and textiles; Melissa Guerra, a Latin Kitchen Market that brings the country casual yet sophisticated lifestyle of South Texas, provincial Mexico and various regions of Latin America together at Pearl and many others.
The group will then move on to the Culinary Institute of America for a tour and cooking demonstration around 11:15 am. Founded in 1946, The Culinary Institute of America is the world’s premier culinary college. The CIA San Antonio is housed in a 30,000-square-foot building at the Pearl site near downtown. The Texas campus combines the realism of the professional foodservice

environment with an ideal educational setting focusing on student learning and outcomes. Five state-of-the-art teaching kitchens and a professional bakeshop are designed to provide modules and stations at which students can perform their lab exercises and be observed and coached on an individual basis.
Once the group tours the facility, they will watch a culinary demonstration by the chef-instructors, enjoy tastings of the items prepared, and take the recipes home to try themselves.
After a wonderful morning visiting the Culinary Institute the group will head to lunch at Nao Latin Gastro Bar to enjoy unique Latin food and beverages. Nao is conveniently located at San Antonio’s historic Pearl Brewery complex.
