HomecomingIt’s no secret that Texas – the home of Friday Night Lights – is football country. It’s especially hard to miss during homecoming season, when schools across the state typically invite alumni

back for events that are all centered on a football game. But at A&M -Texarkana, we do homecoming a bit differently and, if we do say so ourselves, a bit better.Don’t get us wrong: we love football! It’s just that, well, we love our soccer teams more. Homecoming Week is an exciting time for students, alumni, current and former faculty, staff, and the community at large. The fun-filled week precedes a Saturday of women’s and men’s soccer matches during the fall semester and includes something for everyone, with events such as a 5K Glow Run, Breakfast for Dinner, Movie Night, Bonfire and Senior Torchlight Parade, Eagle Roundup: A Community Celebration of Distinguished Alumni and Faculty, and the Eagle Chili Fest and Tailgate Party. We think you’ll agree. Homecoming is a special opportunity to show pride in being members of the Eagle family.

Geographically located on the border of Texas and Arkansas, Texarkana is composed of two cities with the same name. We like to say TEXARKANA IS “TWICE AS NICE.” A unique community, Texarkana offers something for everyone: shopping, outdoor activities, dining, rodeos, museums, historical treasures, arts and cultural activities, as well as many festivals. There are almost two of everything, two city governments, two police and fire departments, but one fabulous community!
