  • Testing facilities

    • 2 MTS 4 channels electrohydraulic benches for fatigue and deformation tests (load range from ± 25 to 100 kN and stroke from ± 75 to 125 mm.

    • 1 MTS electrohydraulic bench for fatigue test at different temperatures on specimen (Load= ± 25 kN , Stroke= ± 75 mm)

    • 1 Roell Amsler resonant machine for fatigue tests on specimens and components (load = ±175 kN).

    • 1 C.E.C. plane bending resonant machine for fatigue test on crankshafts (bending moment: 30÷2,000 daNm).

    • 1 Furnace for high temperature tests (100÷800 °C)

    Teksid Testing Laboratory is able to perform fatigue tests on raw and machined foundry

    components, mechanical and fatigue tests on specimens of various metals at different

    temperatures as well as stress relief tests and others.

  • Tecnological lab

    The Technological laboratory is equipped to perform a complete metallurgical analysis and

    defect surveys. It is connected to the Turin university to execute Electronic Microscope

    Scanning, Plasma AAS metals determination.

    Special tests for foundry process are available such as:

    •gas evolution for green and core sand,

    •core hot distortion

    •core strength at high temperature .

    Dynamometer GALDABINI load max 200 kN for stress test

    Hardness measure: Brinell from 10/3000 to 2,5/187,5 - Rockwel – Vickers

    Remelting furnace to sampling from the cast

    Spectro ARL 3460 for chemical analysis

    Analyzer of pressure or volume of thedeveloped gas during combustion .

    Max temperature of execution: 1000°C.It reproduces the behavior of organicmaterial during pouring.

    Especially useful to set the core making process in order to minimize the gas defect risks.

  • Special tests for foundry process cores hot distortion

    Measurement of core deformation under thermal stress.

    It supplies information about the tendency toform veins and highlights possible geometricalproblems.Can be used to investigate the contribution to deformation of sand, resins and wash, togetheror separately.
