Bowes Primary School, Enfield.

Bowes Primary school in Enfield has embarked on a bespoke 1:1 solution for their school. This has helped transform ICT within the school at an incredible rate delivering excellent learning outcomes sooner than anyone could have anticipated.

The school has developed a 1: 1 Apple based project for Year 6 students supported by parents and funding from the e-Learning Foundation. The Foundation is a charity set up to help bridge the digital divide and provide home access to ICT for young learners.

Mounts Bay Academy

When Mounts Bay Academy began its review of IT it became clear that a simple refurbishment of the IT Suites would not deliver the transformational learning that the Academy always strives for.

Mounts Bay began looking for a solution that the students could carry with them throughout the whole school day and beyond.

With Apple’s greater control over the quality of apps on their devices and good integration with their safeguarding systems

The Academy decided to issue every teacher, teaching assistant and student with an iPad, together with Apple’s productivity suite Pages, Numbers and Keynote. Students have started to submit all their work electronically to teachers and the learning conversations are beginning to create much more interaction.
