Uni Com “Love Plumb Project“
A highly successful group of investors wished to explore the creation of an online bath room retailer. The project was to create serval business plans showing the different end to end software solutions needed to fulfil the differing business objectives and their costs. Work Wear Wardrobe Sept 2017- Dec 2017
Work Wear Wardrobe is a building supply company. The business had invested in a Magento Ecommerce
platform. The site with good creative but had almost no traffic & sales.
The project was initially to increase traffic through a PPC campaign and Google Merchant. Within the first
month the Traffic levels where good, although the conversion rate was making cost of sale unsustainable.
The Project was to cost effectively and systemically improve the conversation rate.
Project Overview:
- To manage the Google Spend, temporary reduction of promoted products from 150+ to 3 product lines, which where the most price competitive.
- Installation of Crazy Egg, to track what users where undertaking before leaving the site - Speed Tests - CRO and Usability testing- A systemic conversation and usability analysis - Creation of Ecommerce development plan and specification for developments
Result:
The conversion rate increased from 0.5% to 2.7%.

Ace Consultancy is a Marketing and Telemarketing lead generation company for professional services.

Image to Suit You is a building supplies and “Work Wear” retailer.
The business had invested in an Ecommerce Website Magento, but the site was providing only a £4k PA
turnover. The business wished to dramatically increase this.

Mango Bikes Dec 2015- March 2017
Mango Bikes is a bicycle retailer with an initiative branding “life style value proposition” with the ability for a
customer to customised and change the colour of the bike parts. The business offered this service, but the
pervious website could not offer this service interactively.
Within the first six weeks took client from initial cold contact through to project launch.
The project was for a new and enhanced Enterprise Ecommerce Solution which would build on the brand
“Mango life” and enable the customer to fully build their bike with a visual custom bike builder.
To further enhance the customer experience, the site would email the customer informing them of what part
in the build process their bike was, with introduction to staff member performing that function.
Overview of Project:

Green Reaper Jan 2016 – March 2016
Green Reaper is a Garden Machinery Wholesaler.
The project was to Analyse competitors sites, Market sector traffic and trends, and create a development
plan to improve traffic, conversion and sales.

Easy Home Buyers Feb 2015- August 2015
Easy Home buyers is a business that specialises in “Quick Sale” of homes. The company enables the
home owner to liquidate their capital tired up in their homes quickly.
Easy Home Buyers would then do minor building work and resell these properties at an increased value.
The business heavily relied on a P.P.C. Marketing, (managed in house), with a Google Spend £18k - £22k
per month for an average of 100 enquiries per month.
Project Overview:
To reduce online marketing spend, whilst achieving same/ improved level of enquires. - Result:
- Kiss Ecommerce, researched the PPC campaign, and then involved P.P.C specialist. - The Google PPC spend was reduced from £22k to £13k per month (Saving of £9k per month) with
no reduction in enquires. - Quality of enquiries also provided an uplift in conversion for the sales teams “enquires to close
rates”.
Uni Com Love Plumb Project Sept 2014- Jan 2015
Uni Com is the biggest residential property owners in Humberside.
The business has diversified into many other successful and profitable areas.
The “Love Plumb” project was one of these new business. An Online retailer for bathroom fittings and
fixtures.
The Love Plumb project, had an initial start-up budget of 2million with £100k allocated for business systems
and software. The consultancy task was to create an ecommerce Business strategy, business plan and
forecast if the business would be viable.
Project Overview:
Analysis:
- Full competitor research, including “what are the top selling products”, traffic levels, software & business systems, online marketing budget.
- Full market sector analysis, size of market, possible market share, competitiveness. - Full keyword researching including online marketing spend, Traffic levels, Click through rate prediction,
Specifications:
- Full Ecommerce specification x 4- Four independent software specifications to cover the different levels of ambitions
- Merging functionality of robust and “out of box” solutions - Specification of integrations between all software - CRM, Ecommerce, WMS, picking and packing systems, ERP reordering forecasting. - Multi locations- all software to be flexible for scaling, location moves, and across multiple sites.
Product Range and Data Management:

Result:
The project lasted 6 months but did not launch into full business, however the consultancy project was
successful in establishing that the risks where to high.
The main risk was to have a large enough product range to be competitive combined with the Product circle
from Factory, shipping to Warehouse required a larger investment meant than 2 Million was needed.
The investors did not feel comfortable investing more than the 2 Million.
Select Car August 2014- March 2015
Select Car is a second hand car dealer ship. The project was to create a Digital Marketing Strategy to
generate enquiries in a highly competitive market.
Through extensive Market analysis and Keyword research a PPC campaign was created.
This campaign established that Mini Coopers where the most popular Car in second hand car market
online.
Interestingly, the Key Words surrounding cars that where “red” where double the price of the cares that
where “blue”, with only a slight drop in search volumes.
The campaign was set up to create enquires and to lead the companies purchasing strategy.
Result:
This Marketing campaign generated 45 Mini Cooper sales in 4 months, 76% of which were blue.
Knowledge of the search volumes was used to lead on a purchasing strategy.

Pinpoint Designs Sales Team Ecommerce Training- Jan 2015- March 2015
Pinpoint designs is an award winning Ecommerce Agency.
They wished to expand their sales team. To ensure their customers received value, quality and to increase
turn over. The project was to provide Ecommerce Fundamentals and Sales Training to new members of
this company.
Result:
The training was one to one through a screen sharing. The training took place at 7.30 am to 8.30 am to fit
around business requirements and lasted 3-6 weeks.
Keep It Personal- July 2014 – Nov 2014
Keep it Personal is a gift retailer that specialises in customised engraving and printing. The retailer sales
channels are Ebay& Amazon, and Ecommerce platform, Zencart.
The project was in two parts:
1. A personalised product preview- A way for the customer to create a visual representation of their purchase. This would allow Keep it Personal to compete with the market leader in features, and to increase conversion rate.
2. Efficiency Improvements- Keep It Persons engraving process was for a graphic designer to take an a personalised message in the order notes, create an image, get it reviewed and proved by the customer, then prepare the engraving imagery (aligned correctly) to be sent to the engraving machine.

Result:
- Increase of conversion rate from 3.1% to 7.2% - Dramatic decrease in Returns, and increased customer satisfaction - Production increased by 35% with no additional labour increase - Enabled in-house graphic designers to deploy their skills in Ecommerce product page content
enhancements. - Turnover increased by 5x in 1yr, enabling business to purchase its own building Warehouse.

More For Pets Limited August 2014 – Sept 2014
More for Pets is an online retailer for Pet product and Pet Food.
The business had pervious success with online sales from Amazon and Ebay.
The company wish to migrate the customers from Ebay and Amazon and have a more direct relationship
with the customer whilst increasing sales and margin through a Multi-Channel system and ecommerce
platform.

Evolution Organics is an online retailer for Organic Health Food Supplements.
The Ecommerce platform was outdated and the business was exploring the requirements for an Enterprise
solution to manageably propel them to the next level in turnover

Direct Vacuum March 2014- August 2014
Direct Vacuum is the retail and Brand name for A Taylor Ltd.
The core business is to fault report returned house hold goods sold by well know high street retailers and
manufactures.
The business started selling refurnished, returned products through Amazon and eBay producing £5 Million
per year sales. The product was to scale and increase online sales through a direct relationship/ website
whilst improving efficiency.
Project overview:
The project was in two parts.
- Create a retail brand and ecommerce website to build customer relationships and online sales. - Produce a Multi-channel stock, product data, to increase number of products being sold, efficiently. - Order management system to ensure all orders where processed in one centralised system to
vastly improve productivity and reduce labour costs.
Result
Online business turn over increase by 30%. Majority of this increase was through direct sales to business (not through Ebay & Amazon) Project Value:

SSE- Energy Supply Limited- March 2012- Oct 2013 SSE (Scottish Hydro, Southern Electric, SWALEC) the electricity supply company.
The project was to provide initiative support solutions for an Asp.net Store Front legacy platform, which was
highly restrictive. Due commercial reason the company did not wish to upgrade the platform, making
enhancements challenging.
The project was to increase conversation rate, and add additional functionality.

AV Bristol is a Hi Fi and Audio retailer.
The project was for a full Ecommerce Store built on the in house platform by Egghead Design, Mercanti.
The system was to manage their multi-channel product data, and order management.

CTD titles is a national retailer of titles and is part of the Saint-Gobain group.
The project was to create a standalone Enterprise Ecommerce Solution, which seamlessly and fully
integrated into the retail supply chain. This included integration into their 5 warehouses, and click and
collect into their stores nation wide.

GCP industries is a Wholesaler and Manufacturer of Warehouse logistics equipment. The business sales
where through a network of retailers supported by paper brochures.
The project was to provide all 54 retailers with Ecommerce website, which would allow instant price
updates, and promotions and advertisements across the whole next work.

The project was in two parts.
1. To enhance the Blush.no site conversion optimisation and usability. 2. To integrate this new site into the Warehouse automation System

The founder of Vitacost (only Nasdaq online health and nutarian company) was aggressively forced out of
business. Dr Vita was his new business to take on his old company.
The new online business turned over $1 million dollar in the first 6 weeks.
