• It is important to face the fact that tests are apart of being in school.

• When you face a test with your full attention and a positive attitude you are more likely to do your best work

ORGANIZE IT

• Organize your body in a testing position.

• Organize your pace so you are not going too quickly or too slowly.

• Organize your answers.

CONQUER IT

• Conquer nervous and negative thoughts.

• Study, be aware of good test taking tips, and DON’T let the test conquer you!

• Understand as you read; hear every word in your mind.

• Underline key words.• Think through each

question and eliminate wrong answers.

• Scan each question carefully.

• When you are finished, go back and carefully check your work.

• Some stress is good, but too much stress may cause you to be upset and not be able to concentrate. (*Goldilocks rule*)

• Think Positively • Come up with a positive statement before

starting an assessment. – “I know a lot of great strategies that will help me

do my best on this test!”– “I am going to pace myself and do my best!”
