Test Equipment Solutions Datasheet
Test Equipment Solutions Ltd specialise in the second user sale, rental and distribution of quality test & measurement (T&M) equipment. We stock all major equipment types such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, logic analysers etc from all the major suppliers such as Agilent, Tektronix, Anritsu and Rohde & Schwarz.
We are focused at the professional end of the marketplace, primarily working with customers for whom high performance, quality and service are key, whilst realising the cost savings that second user equipment offers. As such, we fully test & refurbish equipment in our in-house, traceable Lab. Items are supplied with manuals, accessories and typically a full no-quibble 2 year warranty. Our staff have extensive backgrounds in T&M, totalling over 150 years of combined experience, which enables us to deliver industry-leading service and support. We endeavour to be customer focused in every way right down to the detail, such as offering free delivery on sales, covering the cost of warranty returns BOTH ways (plus supplying a loan unit, if available) and supplying a free business tool with every order.
As well as the headline benefit of cost saving, second user offers shorter lead times, higher reliability and multivendor solutions. Rental, of course, is ideal for shorter term needs and offers fast delivery, flexibility, try-before-you-buy, zero capital expenditure, lower risk and off balance sheet accounting. Both second user and rental improve the key business measure of Return On Capital Employed.
We are based near Heathrow Airport in the UK from where we supply test equipment worldwide. Our facility incorporates Sales, Support, Admin, Logistics and our own in-house Lab.
All products supplied by Test Equipment Solutions include:
- No-quibble parts & labour warranty (we provide transport for UK mainland addresses).- Free loan equipment during warranty repair, if available.- Full electrical, mechanical and safety refurbishment in our in-house Lab.- Certificate of Conformance (calibration available on request).- Manuals and accessories required for normal operation.- Free insured delivery to your UK mainland address (sales).- Support from our team of seasoned Test & Measurement engineers.- ISO9001 quality assurance.

Pinpoint power problems faster, safer and in greater detail
The Fluke 434 and 435 three-phase power quality analyzers help you locate, predict, prevent and troubleshoot problems in three- and single-phase power distribution systems. Troubleshooting is faster with on-screen display of trends and cap-tured events, even while background recording continues. The new IEC standards for flicker, harmonics and power quality are built right in to take the guess work out of power quality.

2 Fluke Corporation Fluke 430 Series Three-Phase Power Quality Analyzers
Measure all power parameters, find events and anomalies in seconds
CAT IV 600 V and CAT III 1000 V safety ratingDesigned to help protect you and your equip-ment, the Fluke 430 Series analyzers andaccessories are all certified to meet the stringentstandards for use in CAT IV 600 V and CAT III1000 V environments. They are the first toolsof their kind to carry the CAT IV rating for usein power connections and outlets throughout alow-voltage power distribution system.
Troubleshoot real-timeAutoTrend feature provides fast insight intochanges over time. Every displayed reading isautomatically recorded without having to setthresholds or intervals. Analyze the trends usingthe cursors and zoom tools—even while back-ground recording continues.
AutoTrend automaticallyrecords all displayed param-eters in the background.Toggle between data andtrend view, and use cursorsand zoom to analyze mea-surements without interrupt-ing the recording.
Simple menu structurewith logical function group-ing gives fast access to keymeasurements.
3 Fluke Corporation Fluke 430 Series Three-Phase Power Quality Analyzers
Inrush function automaticallytriggers off of current, andcaptures start up measure-ments on motors and otherdevices to help determinetrip levels.
Measures everything Measure true-rms and peak voltage and cur-rent, frequency, dips and swells, transients, interruptions, power and power consumption, peak demand, harmonics up to the 50th, inter-harmonics, flicker, mains signaling, inrush andunbalance.
Logger: record the detail you needUser-configurable, long-term recording of MIN,MAX and AVG readings for up to 100 parameterson all 4 phases. Enough memory is available torecord 400 parameters for up to a month with 10minute resolution, or capture smaller variationswith resolution down to 0.5 seconds.
What is Class-A conformity? Power quality measurement is a relatively new, and quicklyevolving field. There are hundreds of manufacturers around theworld with unique measurement methodologies. Whereas basicsingle- and three-phase electrical measurements like rms volt-age and current were defined long ago, many power qualityparameters were not previously defined, forcing manufactur-ers to develop their own algorithms. With so much variationbetween instruments, electricians tend to waste too much timetrying to understand an instrument’s capabilities and measure-ment algorithms instead of understanding the quality of thepower itself!
The new IEC 61000-4-30 Class-A standard takes the guess-work out of selecting a power quality instrument. The standardIEC 61000-4-30 defines the measurement methods for eachparameter to obtain reliable, repeatable and comparable results. In addition, the accuracy, bandwidth and minimum set ofparameters are all clearly defined.
Fully Class-A compliant The Fluke 435 is fully compliant with the newIEC 61000-4-30 Class-A standard. With thispowerful capability, all measurements will beconsistent and reliable in accordance with thelatest international standard.

Automatic transient display Every time an event or voltage distortion isdetected, the instrument triggers and automati-cally stores voltage and current waveforms on allthree phases and neutral. The analyzer will alsotrigger when a certain current level is exceeded.Up to 40 dips, swells, interruptions and tran-sients can be captured this way. You can seevoltage transients as high as 6 kV and as fast as5 microseconds.
System-Monitor: Summary screen of overall power quality health A single push of the MONITOR button deliversa dashboard display of rms voltage, harmon-ics, flicker, interruptions, rapid voltage changes, swells, unbalance, frequency and mains signal-ing. The dashboard is updated live, showingcompliance of each parameter to EN50160 limitsor your own limits. Color-coded bars clearlyshow which parameters are inside (pass) oroutside limits (fail). During a monitor session, you can easily drill down to more detail of anyparameter to view and capture its trend for areport.
Extensive data analysis possibilities The Fluke 430 Series provides three waysto analyze measurements. Cursors and zoomtools can be used ‘live’ while taking measure-ments, or ‘off line’ on stored measurement data.Additionally, the stored measurements can betransferred to a PC with the included softwareto perform custom analysis and create reports.Measurement data can also be exported to com-mon spreadsheet programs. Store up to 10 mea-surement datasets and up to 50 screen capturesfor use in reports.
The System-Monitor over-view screen gives instantinsight into whether thevoltage, harmonics, flicker, frequency and the number ofdips and swells fall outsidethe set limits.
A detailed list is given of allevents falling outside the setlimits. By scrolling throughthe events list and selectingan event, the event can beanalyzed in detail.

Inrush current The inrush current begins when the Arms half cycle rises above the inrush threshold, and ends when the Arms halfcycle rms is equal to or below the inrush threshold minus a user-selected hysteresis value. The measurement is thesquare root of the mean of the squared Arms half cycle values measured during the inrush duration. Each half-cycleinterval is contiguous and non-overlapping as recommended by IEC 61000-4-30. Markers indicate inrush duration.Cursors allow measurement of peak Arms half cycle.
