ART-3Dx, portable real three phase Transformer Turn Ratio tester This high accuracy instrument measures the ratio of transformers (power/voltage or current) to identify abnormalities in the insulta-tion between turns of the windings, centralization or deformation of windings on the core.

• The ART-3Dx is the world’s only equipped with measuring circuit for primary, secondary and tertiary (auxiliary) windings.

• It is equipped with a tri-injection TRUE stage circuit while the ‘‘three-phase’’ competitor devices are actually a single phase system making tests one phase after the other.

• One important advantage of the real three phase ART-3Dx is to allow testing phase shifting type and retifier type transformers!

• The ART-3Dx includes an anti-inductive circuit that eliminates undesirables effects induced by nearby high voltage devices.

• The ART-3Dx delivers the greatest accuracy in the world with only 0.03% or error! It is also the only one in the world to offer a signal up to 275V which offer a high level of excitation of the primary winding to allow a better coupling of the secondary winding for more reliable measurements. This is a great advantage for testing GSU type transformers (Generator Step Up) or large industrial trans-formers with large secondary windings.

WRT-10 & WRT-10D, winding resistance measurement and tap changer analysisThe WRT-10 and WRT-10D are designed to precisely measure the resistance in the windings of a transformer. Since a transformer has many connections in series with the winding, all thoses contacts are subject to fail. The winding resistance measurements can detect these anoma-lies. If the windings or the regulator contacts are in poor states (corroded, misaligned etc ...) resistance will increase causing hot spots in the transformer. Some of these hot spots can generate gases that mix with the oil, increasing explosion risks. With maintenance and effective monitoring of the winding resistances with the WRT-10 or WRT-10D, defects are targeted.

• The WRT-10(D) has a very high precision of 0.1% or reading +/- 0.025% of scale!• The WRT-10(D) uses a current regulated source, ensuring the desired test current level (most competitors use voltage regulated sources,

the current is therefore dependent upon the resistance measured and the user can not change it).• The current source is also an advantage because it allows a faster saturation therefore, the current stability is acheived quicker.• The WRT-10(D) has a reading stability indicator allowing repeatable mesurement and avoids errors often associated with new electri-

cians / technicians who do not have the experience to confirm the timing of stabilized signal.• The WRT-10D is equipped with a circuit designed to demagnetize the transformer’s core to avoid magnetic remanence that could

influence the behavior of the protection current transformers.

CTTx2 and CTTx5, current transformer tester• The CTTx2 and CTTx5 are designed to measure electrical characteristics of a current transformer as specified by the standard IEC

60044. The CTT measures the saturation voltage levels (IEEE30, IEEE45 and IEC10/50), ratio, polarity, phase shift between primary and secondary, error pourcentage between the reading and the nameplate, excitation current, winding resistance, insulation resistance and the burden impedance. The CTT allows manual or automatic testings.

• The user interface is instinctive and easy to operate.

• The instrument is able to inject voltages up to 2000V which is very helpful for large core current transformers since they tolerate higher voltages before to saturate.

ULD-40, surface Partial Discharge (Corona) detectorElectric arcing and corona effect creates sounds and ultrasounds. The ULD-40 instrument allows to convert ultrasounds to the audible frequency range. The corona effect translates into surface bluish light on the conductor or on the insulating material of a cable sur-rounded by a strong electric field, for example: Line through a transformer, insulator, arrester, etc...

• The ULD-40 allows to locate and precisely identify the corona effects, arcing on aerial lines or substation accessories (high and medium voltage) simply by scanning the area with the instrument.

• The ULD-40 includes internal and external detectors. The external detector is used with a parabolic antenna to precisely locate electrical flaws from a greater distance. The parabolic antenna is equipped with a laser beam to increase precision and pinpoint ultrasound sources.

• The Delrin® made casing is rugged and compact, perfect for any type of inspection that requires stability and directionality.

• Its unique design with an integrated amplification cone allows its use with or without the external parabolic antenna.
