These probes are specially designed for high-precision measurements by comparison. Each probe can either be linked to a TESATRONIC display unit fitted with one or two probe inputs or to a BPX interfacing box with multiple probe inputs (multigauging applications).

The wireless probes are made for use in any installation that can not accommodate the cable of a common probe. Due to their autonomy and their robust construction, they are able to operate in the most hostile environment.

Fitted with a USB interface, these TESA probes can be directly connected to the PC. The use of a USB multiplexer provides Users with a flexible and cost-effective solution. In addition, each probe offers a precision that remains unchanged wherever zero-setting has occured.

MEASURING MACHINES ACCESSIBLE TO EVERyONE

T E S A - R E f l E x

The TESA-REflEx principle is the solution provided by TESA to a problem faced by a number of industrial products: how to make increasingly complex applica-tions simple without losing the performance acquired by years of research and development ?The software comes in 5 distinct modules, each being dedicated to a different type of machine and metrology application. These modules share a number of com-

mon denominators, such as the automatic recognition of a part feature. The elements common to the presentation or execu-tion of the measurement tasks greatly facilitate train-ing in handling and using the modules. This results in optimum ease of use for all machines built by TESA – a decisive factor for reliable measurement operations as well as performing equipment.

TESA-VISIO 200 GL – Manual Although the TESA-VISIO 200 GL is built for the production area, its small size makes it no less suited for use on the shop floor as in the laboratory.Fitted with a colour CCD-camera along with a high-precision XY-coordinate table, also compatible with various illumination and magnification systems, this machine can easily be installed in demanding industry; for example, microelectronics, micromechanics and the watchmaking industry. When used in conjunction with TESA-REFLEX Vista, the machine proves to be powerful and dependable for part inspection and analysis.

TESA-Vista is a software module installed on any manual TESA-VISIO. This software provides the operator with the need-ed help functions, especially edge detection and light sources monitoring. The measurements are, therefore, taken in the optimum conditions. This latest evolution adds the option of visual comparison between the part and its CAD model. All operators accustomed to the overlays used on profile projectors will appreciate this new option.

TESA-VISIO 300 GL – Manual or DCCFeaturing the same construction as the 200 GL machine version, the TESA-VISIO 300 GL offers extensive light sources and magnifications in addition to a 300 x 200 mm measuring span. This machine is available either in manual or DCC version and runs TESA-REFLEX Vista or TESA-REFLEX Vision, respectively. The DCC version will check part series automatically, while still remaining simple to use, simplicity being the very corner-stone of the TESA-REFLEX principle.

TESA-REFLEX Vision is installed on every TESA-VISIO DCC – i.e. the motorised machine version of TESA-VISIO 300.In keeping with the TESA-REFLEX principle, this software is very simple to use, whilst assisting the operator throughout the programming process through to the final capture of the measurements. This results in combining TESA-REFLEX Vision with the top-of-the-range TESA-VISIO 300 DCC, an extremely precise and effective vision machine for checking series of parts.

TESA-SCAN 52 Ref lex-ClickThis machine, like all machines produced under the TESA-SCAn name, is initially intended as an optical system that can provide users with accurate static and dynamic features when measuring turned parts in record time. But the most spectacular innovation in the machine lies in its capability to recognise a previously programmed part. Simply pressing a button causes the machine to scan the part to be measured. If the part geometry matches an existing program, the complete results are delivered in compari-son with preset nominal values. Where no preset nominal values are available, the TESA-REFLEX Scan software provides the measurement results obtained from the various dimensions that could be detected. In many cases, this is enough for sample inspection. These two functions – unique to date and specific to the TESA-REFLEX principle – make the TESA-SCAn 52 REFLEX-Click an incom-parably user-friendly and effective inspection tool for the workshop.

This module is based on experience acquired in the measure-ment of turned parts applied to the TESA-SCAn 52 REFLEX-Click, a completely innovative piece of equipment. True to the TESA-REFLEX principle, the software will not only just measure components without the need for any preliminary programming, but also automatically recognize a part previously measured by checking it against the programmes stored in the memory.TESA-REFLEX Scan makes TESA-SCAn 52 a general-purpose machine unequalled to date, being both a true self-service platform for measuring one-off parts, and a device for inspect- ing large parts series.

TESA MICRO-HITE 3D RECORDERThe latest MH3D Recorder opens up a new path in the field of tactile three-axis measurement. This hybrid machine version makes it possible to take all measurements in both manual and automatic modes. This innovation is the solution to the problematic demands of parts inspection, from the single part to the small series.Due to its capability to automatically reproduce a part pro-gram generated either manually or using a joystick, this machine definitely makes automatic measurement accessible to everyone. Since no preliminary programming is required, reproducing a part program previously saved in the memory and have a part series be checked in the same conditions is easy.

The TESA-REFLEX Recorder module has all the functions of the software provided with the manual machines, plus a command controlling the servomotor drives mounted on each of the 3 machine axes. This additional function enables the automatic reproduction of each movement operated manually or through the joystick. With TESA-REFLEX Recorder, programming of the range of inspection operations becomes child’s play by just recording any manual movement.

TESA – 70 years of innovation in the world of Metrology It was indeed in 1941 that Jean-Georges Müller founded TESA SA, which was then ori-ented towards the design of hand-held tools characterised by their innovative features.Further to the development of the first precision tools based on a unique measuring cone, TESA’s engineers worked to diversify the techniques used as a basis for all new measur-ing means to be designed, intended for the most varied applications. Combining electron-ics since 1970 in strict compliance with metrological principles, they worked successfully to provide users with measurement solutions increasingly more efficient and ergonomic. Throughout the years, the company was also able to select and integrate the know-how and key products manufactured under the brands Etalon, Mercer, Standard Gage, Compac and Cary, contributing to its leading position in the world of dimensional measurement. Always focusing on resting its product developments on a Swiss manufacturing commit-ted to quality, the company invests each year in ultra-modern machining, assembly and test equipment to ensure the reliability and productivity of its manufacturing processes. In 2010, a major investment was made in the acquisition of a sophisticated storage and logistics equipment, serving a new platform of international distribution at production output. To market its products, TESA relies on an extensive network of distributors worldwide, supported by subsidiaries that can provide local service in the main countries of Europe, Asia and United States. As a member of the Hexagon AB group since 2001, which includes brand names such as Leica, Leitz, DEA, Brown & Sharpe and more recently Intergraph, TESA takes part in the business activities of this major player in the field of metrology and data processing, and benefits from a large structure employing some 12,000 people in 42 countries.
