on the basis of sustainable

development

Pryingulsky Regional Landscape Park is a nature recreation institution

• It was bequeathed on December 17,

2002 (the decision of session of the

Mykolaiv regional council from

12/17/2002 № 6).

• Area - 3.2 thousand hectares.

• The Directorate was established in

April 2007. Located within the Sofia

and Novobuzhsk territorial

communities.

• Staff - 14 people.

• Administrative building: Bashtansky

district, Mykolaiv region.

Territory management

• The territory is managed by its special administration. It is a municipal institution

of the Mykolaiv regional council and is in operational management of structural

division of the Mykolaiv regional public administration - management of ecology

and natural resources.

• People in the staff are from villages Novy Bug, Sofiyivka, Bereznehuvatske,

Stantsiyne, etc.

• The Park is headed by a director, there are departments: the state protection services

of the nature reserve fund, which is headed by the deputy director, and the

department of research, ecological-educational, recreational work.

• The functioning of the Park provides the community with jobs, taxes go to the local

budget.

Environmental activities

• Preservation of valuable natural, historical and cultural complexes and objects is

one of the activities of landscape park "Priingulsky".

• The protection of the territory is entrusted to the state protection service of the

Priingulsky landscape park, which is a part of the state protection service of the

nature reserve fund of Ukraine.

• The main tasks of the state security service are: - ensuring compliance with the

regime of park "Priingulsky"; - prevention and termination of violations of

environmental legislation

Recreational and tourist activities

The main areas of proceedings are as follows:

creation of a complex object of visiting, the so-called "Tropinin Manor", where

there will be a tourist information, ecological and educational center "Priingulsky",

a museum of folk crafts and handicrafts;

organization and infrastructural arrangement of tourist and excursion routes,

ecological-educational paths, places of rest on the nature;conducting excursions;

coordination of the activities of tourism entities that plan to provide or provide

services on the territory of landscape park „Priingulsky”;

assessment of recreational resources of the territory;

provision of paid leisure services;

participation in activities on the development of recreational and tourist activities

Environmental education

Regional Landscape Park Priingulsky: conducts environmental educational activities

for local residents and visitors;

creates and ensures the activity of the ecological-educational center "Priingulsky";

supports all-Ukrainian and regional environmental actions and campaigns;

organizes thematic scientific and practical events;

prepares and disseminates information materials about landscape park "Priingulsky",

environmental protection, other natural topics;

conducts educational excursions;

cooperates with many organizations;

ensures the presence of the institution in the electronic information space

Scientific activities

• Priingulsky Regional Landscape Park organizes scientific research of natural

complexes and their changes in terms of recreational use.

• The scientific curator is the Department of Ecology of the Petro Mohyla Black Sea

National University.

• The main directions of scientific activity of Regional Landscape Park "Priingulsky"

are the following: conducting an inventory of flora and fauna, natural complexes,

settlements, individual natural objects; monitoring of anthropogenic impacts,

including recreational activities; research and analysis of the dynamics of changes

in natural complexes and objects under the influence of various factors, etc.

• Regional Landscape Park "Priingulsky" in its activities takes into account the

concept of sustainable development, in particular, the need to strike a balance

between meeting the modern needs of visitors and preserving the nature of Priingul

region in the interests of future generations.

• The main idea that a visitor to Priingul should realize is that with sustainable

management it is possible to meet traditional needs and preserve the nature of the

region.

• Examples from the area:

• Example 1: The territory of the Priingulsky Regional Landscape Park is extended

along the Ingul River by 25.5 km, of which: 15 km - Sofiyivski Reservoir, 10.5 km

- the natural part of the Ingul river mouth. The needs of the population in drinking

and technical water are met, fishing and swimming are carried out, and no

additional negative impacts on the natural area of the Ingul and the reservoir are

allowed.

Example 2:

• Sofiiwka Quarry: a source of construction raw materials for road repairs,

while the destruction of the monument "Sofiiwka Snakes" and violation of

the integrity of the protected area is not allowed.

Example 3. Taking into account the status of lands and traditional needs of land

users is the key to sustainable management

• The regional landscape park territory

includes various categories of lands:

nature reserve and other nature

protection purposes, water fund,

agricultural, forestry purposes,

housing and public buildings and

others.

• Their mode of use varies, taking into

account the status of land as a nature

reserve fund.

Example 4. Amateur fishing is a traditional type of nature management on the

Sofia Reservoir

• Social tensions - no fishing grounds were

allowed in the large body of water during the

spring-summer ban, resulting in frequent

cases of poaching.

• Together - fishermen, the Mykolaiv fish

protection patrol, the regional landscape park

"Priingulsky" studied and analyzed a

situation.

• There is a place where recreational fishing

with one float or bottom rod with one hook

or spinning from the shore is allowed.

• Fishing is prohibited in other places.

• Enforcement of fishing rules has become

more effective

Tourism sustainable development

• One of the important factors influencing the territory is recreational and tourist

activities, at the same time, promoting the creation of conditions for the

development of tourism in compliance with the environmental regime is one of the

tasks of the institution.

• Recreational activities are aimed at meeting the cognitive needs of visitors, creating

conditions for weekend recreation under the slogan „Responsible visits with respect

for nature”

• We support the principles of the Respect for Nature concept - the rules of good

outdoor recreation developed by the European Wildlife Society.

Sustainable development tourism

• The strategic goal of the development of recreational and tourist activities on the

territory of Landscape Park "Priingulsky" is the sustainable development of

ecotourism and organized forms of recreation.

• Model components:

• 1) ecological and educational center „Priingulsky”

• 2) a network of tourist routes and eco-trails

• 3) living in rural settlements adjacent to the regional landscape park.

• Factors that do not allow the development of mass tourism: Sofiyivski Reservoir - a

source of drinking water, "Priingulsky" - vulnerable to excessive recreational

loads.The model of the center and the network of routes allows to take into account

the environmental status of the territories and to develop cognitive tourism,

weekend recreation, excursion activities

Creation of an ecological and educational center

before 2008. – after 2020

1 - lobby, beginning of the exhibition.

7 - interactive room (here is a multimedia sandbox,

• Marking and arrangement of 9 tourist routes: 2 -

on foot, 1 - by car, 2 - by bicycle, 2 - by water, 2

- by horse, 1 eco-trail.

• It is based on the principles of Greenways. Green

roads are multifunctional routes for motorized

transport by means of vehicles or on foot,

passing along natural lands and introduced for

sustainable tourism, promotion of a healthy

lifestyle, revitalization of the local economy.

Arrangement and maintenance of a network of tourist routes and

ecological trails

• For the future: a set of

of clutter, landscaping,

installation of gazebos

and other elements of

landscaping.

• Resolving the issue of

"Priingulsky".

Landscaping of the homestead park

• Areas for short-term rest are considered

places of rest at water, traditional places of

fishing, camping.

• Accommodation options: "Pelagiivsky",

(Sofia Territorial Community).

Arrangement of outdoor recreation areas, accommodation options

Private recreation center on the outskirts of the village Rozanivka,

Novobuzhsk territorial community

• Fulfillment of various tasks of regional landscape park "Priingulsky", combining

the interests of nature protection, recreation, environmental, educational and

economic activities is achieved through the division of the territory into functional

zones.

• A differentiated regime for protection, restoration and use is established in

accordance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On the Nature Reserve

Fund of Ukraine".

• Functional zones: reserved, regulated recreation, stationary recreation, economic.

The project of organization of the territory of the regional landscape park

"Priingulsky", protection, reproduction and recreational use of its natural complexes

has been developed, has not been approved yet.

• The rules of attendance are posted on the official website of the institution.
