    The ECB/ECL-PTU Series are microprocessor-based programmable controllers designed to control mains powered terminal units such as fan coils, heat pumps, chilled beams, chilled ceilings, small AHUs, and more. Additionally, these HVAC applications can support various pipe configurations such as 4 pipes, 2 pipes, 2 pipes with electric heater, including a 4-pipe and 1-coil configuration using a 6-way valve.

  • Improve performance, optimise comfort, save energy, and cut costs!

    Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditionning Control

    The ECB/ECL-PTU controllers sense parameters such as temperature, air quality and humidity to deliver efficient and precise control in order to provide occupant comfort and productivity.

    As an example, in a 4-pipe and single room configuration (see wiring diagram on the left page), they can control heating and cooling setback through two floating valves for first stage heating and cooling, one electric heater for second stage heating, and a 24V fresh air damper, directly powered by the controller’s internal power supply.

    Each controller can be equipped with return and water temperature sensors, that optimises the temperature sensing in a room; and with a window-contact sensor that will shut-down HVAC systems when a window is opened.

    An AllureTM EC-Smart-Vue communicating sensor can be also connected to an ECB/ECL-PTU controller subnet port, allowing occupants to adjust their own comfort parameters for improved personal comfort and increased energy savings.

    Focus on the Allure EC-Smart-Vue

    Through its LCD display and a user-friendly interface, occupants can view and adjust environmental settings to their liking, for example, view the space temperature, adjust the setpoint, set the fan speed (1-2-3, auto, off), and apply occupancy overrides. They can also control their energy consumption in real time, thanks to the innovative ECO-VueTM feature.

    What is the ECO-Vue feature?

    The ECO-Vue function places the energy consumption decision in the hands of the occupants, enhancing user awareness and increasing energy efficiency: the more leaves appear on the LCD display, the more energy efficiency is being achieved!

    Depending on the installation requirements, the Allure EC-Smart-Vue communicating sensor can integrate multiple sensors:

    A temperature sensor, that will ensure occupants have a comfortable working environment by automatically adjusting heating or cooling conditions.

    A CO2 sensor, as part of a demand-controlled ventilation strategy, that will adjust the amount of fresh air intake according to the number of zone occupants.

    A motion sensor for demand-based occupancy control that will automatically adjust a zone’s occupancy mode from standby to occupied when presence is detected.

    A humidity sensor which will measure the actual air humidity rate in a room to enable dew point calculation or humidification / dehumidification sequences.

It allows you to visually assemble building blocks together as necessary: create custom modules for specific applications or repeat sequences, dynamic views of data flow, development and real-time clock, reporting errors, etc.

    The gfxApplication libraries consist of a series of code examples, with pre-engineered sequences embedded within EC-gfxProgram, specifically designed for terminal unit applications, in order to help you quickly develop your HVAC applications, to save time and costs.

    A comprehensive module of pre-animated HVAC components provides the equipment and components needed to consistently assemble high-end system graphics, so you can spend less time assembling graphics and further distinguish your organisation’s graphics that are competitive in today’s industry.
