The Advisory Board challenges and provides support to the children’s centre to help us to: Ensure service development, reflects parent’s views and local needs in order to improve children and families outcomes
1:00 - 2:30 Parent Time (Wandsworth Families Only)
A space and time for parents to come and learn new skills and relax and chat with other parents. A different topic each session. (Every other Monday See page 7 for dates)

A Stay & Play Session for Wandsworth Families with babies 0 - walkers to play and learn together in our learning space

10:30 - 11:30 Music Time Drop In ( £1 per child)
This music sessions provides multicultural pre-school music classes. Which also brings a fresh approach to the sessions and uses a mix of worldwide music, songs,
rhymes and stories throughout the programme.

Yvonne Carr Centre will provide a safe and welcoming place for all families with young children to learn, have fun, feel valued,
supported and listened to.
Back to work and confidence skills is a 8 week course looking at being inspired, boosting confidence, getting back to work after a
break and staring a new career. On this course the parents learnt how to improve their
communication, personal development and employability skills The course is based on a coaching model and encourages
participants to; Aim higher, unleash their potential and take action.
Our parents who attended this course in 2015 are now in employment or further education.

Tuesday
10:00 - 1:00 Advanced ESOL Book a place (Term Time Only)
English for speakers of other languages (No Crèche provided)
10:00- 11:30 Come Learn with Me (For Wandsworth parents)
with children 2-3 years olds. For 4 weeks (Book a place) A learning session planned using the Early Years Learning goals. This session focuses on colour, shape, size and early mark making.
1: 30- 2:30 Forest School For 4 weeks (Book a place)
Forest School is a specialist learning approach that offers ALL Learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a natural environment with trees. (Wandsworth Families Only)
22-36 months Expresses own preferences

Wednesday
9:45 - 10:30 Legs Bums & Tums (Crèche £1) Fitness sessions for mums (This Session is charged)
10:00 - 12:00 Wandsworth Family Induction Sessions Come along to be inducted into the centre to complete the registration process. Take a tour of the building, meet the staff and the multi-agency team, ask ques-tions and find out what support and services are on offer here. Every other Wednesday (See page 7 for further dates)
1:00 - 2:30 Play & Learn 0-3 years Drop in
For Wandsworth Families with children 0-3 years to Play and Learn together in our learning space.
10:00 -12:00 Sewing with Maggie Book a Place (Crèche provided)
A sewing session for Wandsworth parents to learn the basics in sewing Skills
1:30 - 3:00 Talk Shop (for families with a Wandsworth GP)
(See page 7 for dates) Come along to a drop in session with your child to meet the local speech and language team who can advise you about your child’s: Listening and attention skills, Play, Understanding, Vocabulary and Talking skills.
10:00 - 12:00 Solihull Parenting 4th May—13th July (Crèche Provided)
What’s involved? We talk about having fun together and explore different ways of dealing with challenging behaviour, e.g. temper tantrums, potty training, sleeping and feeding problems. The learning methods include group discussions, role play and feedback on observations of your child.
If you are interested in joining this group , drop into the centre and register
your interest.

A soft play session for Wandsworth parents with children 0-3 years old.
1:00 - 4:00 Wandsworth Young Parents Group A Session for young mums up to the age of 21 to complete their Maths and English GCSE. Lunch is also provided and supported with a crèche.
10:00 - 1:00 Basic ESOL Book a Place (Term Time Only. No crèche)
A basic English language course for parents who have very little English language
8 -20months
Concentrates intently on an object or activity of own choosing for short
periods.
22 –36 months
Listens with inter-est to the noises
adults make when reading stories
