Rugby League Clinics Today was the last day for Rugby Clinics.

Stage 2 Excursion Was a lot of fun!! Check out the photos.

Kindergarten Swimming continues TOMORROW Thanks to all those wonderful parents who have agreed to help with Kindergarten swimming. Lessons continue tomorrow, Thursday 15th. Please label all clothing careful-ly, remember to label towels, socks and even under-wear….. Remember to pack a water-proof bag for wet swimmers and towels to be placed into. Occasionally, at kindergarten swimming time, the changing rooms look like an explosion of odd socks, undies, wet towels and swimmers….. The best way to have clothing returned is by labelling everything, so helpers can return things accu-rately. Thanks!

Garden Ramble The Garden Ramble weekend is 17th and 18th Novem-ber, THIS WEEKEND! Our school grounds will be open, and we will be show casing our new hall. We will have tea and coffee available for our visitors. Teachers have volun-teered to man the BBQ, and we would like to sell some of our Garden Club seedlings to help purchase some new gardening gear. If you have any plants potted up at home you could donate for sale, or could spare a few hours on either Saturday or Sunday, please let us know in the office, and we’ll draw up a roster! Thanks heaps!

Pop into school for a visit, a snag, and a chat.

5/6S excursion to Cadia Ms Sissian is taking the students of 5/6S to visit Cadia mine tomorrow, to enhance their unit or work on rocks and minerals. I’m sure they will have a great day!

Pre2 ANZAC day award Many of you may not be aware that the pre2 group (Orange schools, Millthorpe and Blayney) have won an award from the veterans affairs commission for our inno-vative ANZAC day ceremony, held earlier this year. We had a video conference link-up with New Zealand, and our choir sang (great work Miss Derrig). Today we are re-turning to Bletchington Public School to perform the choir piece again, for the prize giving ceremony. We won $1000 for our pre2 program. Congratulations to the pre2 team on this great innovation. Keep your eyes peeled for more pre2 opportunities and news, into 2013. What great things could we do next?

Millthorpe Markets Please remember to volunteer to help out at the Millthorpe markets fundraising weekend on 2nd Decem-ber. Millthorpe markets is a massive undertaking, we need all hands on deck! Every child in the school benefits from the hard work of the Markets committee, and we have quite a few large, expensive projects which the P&C are

supporting at the moment. Most important of these for the children is the playground refurbishment, and the installation of a watering system, hooked up to our bore (kindly donated by the Jones family some years ago) with new grass, retaining wall, seating and play equipment.

We are also hoping for a large venue data projector for the hall, and the additional stage sections, which have already arrived. We will be establishing a new classroom in 2013, with all the extra expenses associated, new sets of dictionaries, scissors, reading boxes (already ordered), more homereaders etc etc.

So, Millthorpe kids really need you to give a few hours towards raising funds for all these projects. The best way is to help out on markets day!

All teachers will be on deck, doing their bit, as always. We hope to see you all there for our big day.

Tennis Coaching Glenn Goodacre, our AASC tennis coach is offering to hold children and adult coaching sessions on Saturday mornings, at our newly refurbished courts .Glen will be at the courts to meet you at 9.30am –11am this Saturday. You are still able to put your name down in the office, if you are interested. Cost is $10 per child.

Have a great week,

Thank You Mrs Granger, the Health Forum was First-Class!!

On behalf of all the parents who attended the Health Forum in the school hall yesterday I would like to thank Mrs Granger for organis-ing such a wonderful information session. All of the speakers were highly professional, interesting and enthusiastic. I’m certain we all left feeling much more informed about a range of childhood health issues (and the lucky door prizes were great too!). Trudy Sharp.

Congratulations Mrs Granger - what a great idea!

To all the parents who couldn’t attend – you missed a great afternoon, hope you can make it next time.
