It is so important that you do not send your child to school if they are unwell as this places all other students, staff and parents with the significantly greater risk of contracting these illnesses. If your child is presenting with any symptoms associated with any illness please do not send your child to school. Hats on…for the past 25 years You may have read in the local Leader newspaper that we have recently been acknowledged as one of the first schools to be accredited as a Sun Smart school 25 years ago. It is pleasing to think that the Slip Slop Slap message is something engrained within Australian society and that our students are aware of the importance of being sun smart in the dangerous Australian sun. From 1 st September to 30 th April all students must wear a school wide brimmed or legionaries hat outside at recess and lunch play times. Please ensure your child brings along their hat and encourage all children to slap on sunscreen before they come to school. Planning week This week all teachers participated in planning days. The purpose of these days was to provide year level teams and specialist teachers with time to collaborate and plan teaching and learning programs for term 4. RU OK? Today is national RU OK day. It is a day to encourage anyone who has someone they care about that is not behaving as they normally do to start a conversation using the prompts to the left. Art Show Commencing today, students will be bringing home their art work from our Art Show. This may take some time so please be patient. At Friday’s assembly we will be drawing our Art Show raffle and Scavenger Hunt prizes from our opening night. Assembly on last week of term 3 Just a reminder that next week’s Friday assembly will be held at 1:30pm in the gym. Students will be dismissed early at 2:30pm due to it being the last day of term 3. Welcome new students This week we welcomed Ben (1/2R) and Yass (5/6C) into our learning community. Term 3 Ends Friday 18th September Students Will Be Dismissed From Their Classrooms At 2.30pm

PRINCIPAL’S REPORT Sharing is caring…unless it’s a germ

In recent weeks we have several reported incidents of children being unwell with influenza, slap cheek and chest infections. It is so important that you do not send your child to school if they are unwell as this places all other students, staff and parents with the significantly greater risk of contracting these illnesses. If your child is presenting with any symptoms associated with any illness please do not send your child to school.

Hats on…for the past 25 years

You may have read in the local Leader newspaper that we have recently been acknowledged as one of the first schools to be accredited as a Sun Smart school 25 years ago. It is pleasing to think that the Slip Slop Slap message is something engrained within Australian society and that our students are aware of the importance of being sun smart in the dangerous Australian sun. From 1st September to 30th April all students must wear a school wide brimmed or legionaries hat outside at recess and lunch play times. Please ensure your child brings along their hat and encourage all children to slap on sunscreen before they come to school.

Planning week

This week all teachers participated in planning days.

Art Show

Commencing today, students will be bringing home their art work from our Art Show. This may take some time so please be patient. At Friday’s assembly we will be drawing our Art Show raffle and Scavenger Hunt prizes from our opening night.

Assembly on last week of term 3

Just a reminder that next week’s Friday assembly will be held at 1:30pm in the gym. Students will be dismissed early at 2:30pm due to it being the last day of term 3.

Welcome new students

This week we welcomed Ben (1/2R) and Yass (5/6C) into our learning community. Both Ben and Yass have settled in well and we look forward to seeing you grow at Templestowe Heights Primary.
