Mothers Day Stall

The SRC had a very successful Mother’s Day stall on Thursday 9th May. We raised $182.00 on the day.

We hope all our mums loved their presents as much as your children loved buying them.

Hawkesbury District Agricultural Show

Congratulations to Samantha Hall who has received a Highly Commended Award for

her picture in the Hawkesbury Show School Art Competition. Well done Sam!

MMWaC Day

The children are looking forward to their “Connecting to Country Day” at Brewongle Environmental Educa-

tion Centre on Monday 17th June. They will be participating in activities about Aboriginal artefacts, sym-

bols, games and dreamtime stories. Please make sure your permission notes have been sent in to the

school office. You are asked to take a low litter lunch on this day, a note explaining this was sent home

with the permission notes .

Life Ed

We had a visit from Life Ed on Wednesday 29th May. The students had a lovely time chatting with

Healthy Harold and learning some great things. There was a lot of giggling going on thanks to our

educator Angela, everyone enjoyed the day.

**Special Christmas in July Assembly**

We will be holding a special assembly on Thursday 4th July starting at

2.00pm (week 10). Each class will present a couple of items. Hope you

can all join us. (Please note there will not be an assembly in week 9 on

27th June due to this).

Reading Program Volunteers Needed

We are looking for volunteers who may be able to spare some of their time to sup-

port our reading program. Ideally we would like a person or two who could spare an

hour or so each morning to work one on one with our students. Full training of the

program will be provided. If you, or a parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle are availa-

ble to assist, please pop in and see one of our teachers for details and to arrange

training. We appreciate your support.

Pirate and Pancake Day

AHOY THERE ME HEARTIES! What a fun day we have had today, pirates everywhere! Thank you for

helping raise money for Kid’s brain cancer research. I will let you know how much we raised. Everyone

also enjoyed pancakes, as you can see in the photos! Thank you everyone for your support.

Election BBQ and Cake Stall

Thank you to all the families that helped not only volunteering

their time on Saturday 18th May for election day but also those who spent time baking cakes, setting up

stalls and manning them on the day. The P&C raised over $900.00 on the day. Well done everyone and

thank you for your support.

ABOUT US:

Wisemans Ferry & District Sports Inc. is a non-profit organization, which started operating in

1995. We provide sporting opportunities to the children in our community aged 4 years and old-

er. Our aim is to give the children exposure to a variety of sports & activities that they would

possibly never get a chance to experience, teaching them how to participate as an individual and

as a team member.

WF&DSI meet Wednesdays after school (3.00pm) during school terms only and is facilitated

with several parent volunteers and community members. At times we have specialized coaches

of various sporting activities run workshops and clinics, including Peppercorn Services Inc.

Note: Activities may change due to unforeseen circumstances, if you do not attend regularly

activity. Please ensure your child/ren have water & a snack available prior to commencement of

Student Banking

Student banking is continuing this year. If you would like to open an account it can be done online or by

visiting any CommBank branch directly. Brochures have been sent home and are also available at the

school office on how to do this.

Once you have an account set up please bring your bank books and money into the school office from

Wednesday, they will be returned to you within a few days once the banking is done, usually Friday

afternoon. You choose the amount you would like to bank and it can change every week if you wish.
