Term 1 Week 7 12/3/2020
Dear Parents and Carers,
As a school we strive to ensure the safety and wellbeing
of all of the students. In these stressful health times, we
need to make sure that students do not attend school if
they have a cold, a runny nose, a cough or a
temperature.
Many of our students rely on others to care for their
needs, if staff are also dealing with sick students we are
not keeping the most health vulnerable students safe at
school.
Please encourage your child to wash their hands with
soap for 20 seconds after going to the toilet; before
eating; touching a pet; sneezing or blowing their nose. If
we all take precautions then we will all be able to keep
coming to school everyday.
The Department of Education continues to work closely
with NSW Ministry of Health to monitor and respond to
developments and to ensure the safety and wellbeing of
students and staff.
In accordance with our current practice if any student
becomes unwell we will implement our infection control
guidelines and follow the advice provided by the NSW
Ministry of Health as appropriate.
SCHOOL PHOTOS
Our school photos will be on Monday the 6th of April,
which is the last Monday of the term.
We will be sending out the envelopes later, payment can
be made online or through returning the envelope
on or before the 6th of April 2020.
The photographers offer the opportunity for sibling
photos at additional cost and ID Cards $5 each for
students over 16 years old. The ID cards are beneficial
in dealings with NDIS and Centrelink.
Bucky News
Congratulations Maara and Tairone and the students in
Primary 4 for being Kind and keeping hands and feet to
themselves. Over these two weeks the student will be
working on being Peaceful and using a quiet voice across
the school. Please remind your child to use an inside voice
when communicating at home and in the community.
Well done to our student Bucky for your engaging
performances.
BOOK CLUB
We would like to organise a book club program at school,
Lisa Anderson will co-ordinate with a group of volunteer
parents to assist in the ordering and distribution of books.
Book Club provides families with an affordable and
convenient way to bring the best in children’s literature into
their homes. Each issue contains curated, age-appropriate
titles that have been carefully selected and levelled by a
dedicated team of professional booklovers.
Every time you participate in a Scholastic offering, your
School is being rewarded! For example, for every Book
Club order that you place, Scholastic gives back 20% of
your total order spend to your school as Scholastic
Rewards.
Yesterday is history Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a
gift. That’s why we call it “The Present”
Best regards for the upcoming fortnight.
