The Aqueduct of Padre Tembleque

Hydraulic engineering work built in the XVI century by Friar Francisco de Tembleque to transport water from Zempoala to Otumba. It displays an ingenuous fusion of Mesoamerican cultural roots and European traditions, evincing a mestizo nature that also manages to integrate Roman tradition.
It indispensable arcades of more than 38 meters in height and a length of 40 km were appointed as World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
This Royal Inland Road was considered the main road in the American Continent from the XVI to XVII centuries. It was developed after discovering mines in Zacatecas in 1546 in order to transport the extracted silver.
A must visit place for adventurers and lovers of historic routes.

CosmovitralThe State Capital is the second city with the most museums in Mexico, among them we can find the Botanical Garden Cosmovitral, which stands the world’s largest stained glass mural. It houses more than 500 plants and flowers of 169 different species from all over the world.
