The Tennessee defense was stout last week containing the Gamecocks’ and the Tigers’ top scorers as UT picked up its eighth and ninth shutouts of the year. HALL NAMED SEC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF WEEK Senior back Ali Hall won her first SEC Defensive Player of the Week honor after helping UT shut down South Carolina and Auburn on the road last weekend. The Tennessee defense was stout last week containing the Gamecocks’ and the Tigers’ top scorers as UT picked up its eighth and ninth shutouts of the year.

MOVIN’ ON UP IN THE RPI In this week’s NCAA RPI rankings, Tennessee climbed four spots to No. 14. UT finished the 2011 season with an RPI of 33. Kentucky’s RPI is currently 45. LSU’s RPI is 65.

SCOUTING KENTUCKY¢ Tennessee and Kentucky will play for the 21st time.

UT leads the all-time series 12-8. Last year, The Lady Vols fell to the Wildcats, 1-0, in double overtime on Oct. 14, 2011, in Lexington, Ky. UT bounced UK from the SEC Tournament with a 2-1 win in Orange Beach, Ala.

¢ Kentucky is 8-5-1 this season and 3-4-1 in SEC play. The Wildcats are 2-3 on the road. UK is has lost its last three matches by a combined score of 6-2. Four of Kentucky’s last five contests have gone to overtime and the Wildcats are 1-3-1 in that stretch.

¢ The Wildcats are coming off a 2-0 loss at Missouri on Oct. 7.

¢ Kentucky is averaging 1.64 goals and 1.21 goals allowed per game. The Wildcats are also averaging 3.07 saves per game.

SCOUTING LSU¢ UT and LSU will square off for the 17th time.

Tennessee holds a 10-4-2 edge in the series but has gone winless against the Tigers in their last five meetings (0-3-2 in that stretch). Last year, LSU took a 2-0 win in Baton Rouge, La. UT’s last win over LSU was on Oct. 3, 2008, when the Lady Vols took a 2-1 win over the No. 15 Tigers.

¢ LSU is 6-5-4 on the year and 2-4-2 in SEC play. The Tigers are 2-0 on the road and coming off a 1-0 win over Vanderbilt on Oct. 7, 2012. The Tigers will play
