SCOUTING NO. 2 UCLA¢ Tennessee’s Sunday match against No. 2 UCLA at

Drake Stadium will mark the second meeting all-time between the Lady Vols and the Bruins. Last year, the teams squared off for the first time ever on Aug. 26, 2011, in the First Tennessee Lady Vol Classic at Regal Soccer Stadium. Chelsea Hatcher gave UT a 1-0 lead in the 63rd minute, but then-ranked No. 15 UCLA scored in the 81st and 85th minute to take a 2-1 win.

¢ UT is 5-11-2 all-time against the Pac-12. The Lady Vols’ last match against a Pac-12 opponent was a 3-1 loss to Arizona on Sept. 12, 2012, in the Sun Devil Desert Classic in Tempe, Ariz. UT’s last win over a Pac-12 team was on Sept. 15, 2006, in a 1-0 triumph at Stanford in

the Stanford Nike Invitational. Tennessee tied Southern California, 1-1, on Sept. 16, 2007, in the USC Tournament in Los Angeles.

¢ UCLA is 4-0 and coming off a 2-0 home win over then-No.11 Wisconsin on Aug. 31. The Bruins will face Loyola Marymount at Drake Stadium on Sept. 9 before hosting Tennessee on Sunday.

¢ In 2012, UCLA went 16-1-4 and 8-1-2 in the Pac-12 (second in the conference). The Bruins advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament before losing in a penalty kick shootout to San Diego.
