Applying for Temporary Service:

Temporary electrical service for new home construction will be provided to the member or builder after:

• applicant has paid a New Service Fee - CIAC of $250, a membership fee of $1 0, and provided a credit reference letter OR made a deposit;

• any supplemental contracts, which may Include a guaranteed monthly minimum bill, are signed;

• any Contribution-In-old-of-construction has been paid; • a right-of-way easement for property Involved, in the

event the service requires extension of Cooperative's facilities, has been signed.

Locating the Service:

The most cost-effective location for the temporary service to benefit the member and the Cooperative will be determined by a Warren RECC staking technician.

Temporary Service located, at the member's request more than the maximum distance of 125 feet from existing overhead facilities or 5 feet from existing underground facilities, will be billed to the member at the actual cost Involved.

The Temporary Service equipment and pole for termination will be furnished by the member.

1nspection of the Service:

A licensed electrical inspector (Kentucky Department of Housing), having jurisdiction In that county, must approve the service. Power will be provided to the Temporary Service after It passes Inspection. If the structure Is still on Temporary Service after one year, a $25 monthly fee will be billed to the member.

Commercial or Transitory Customers:

Temporary seNice for commercial or transitory customers (circuses, carnivals, etc.) will be as follows:

• All costs of construction, metering, connection and disconnection involved In supplying and removing seNice for primary and secondary extensions, where the Installation wJII not be part of the permanent seNice, will be the responsibility of the member.

• Charges for these extensions will be based on estimated labor, plus materials cost, minus salvage, (See ADM51 a). Under these conditions, the normal fee of $250 Contribution-In-Aid-of-Construction will not apply. A member deposit may be required to cover estimated use of electricity.

• All fees are to be paid In advance.

Additional Information:

• A pole for temporary seNice must be a minimum of 4 Inches In diameter and 16 feet in height for overhead seNice.

• A minimum of 32 feet of# 6 bare copper conductor wrapped around the pole at 12 Inches or more below grade level can be used in lieu of two 8-foot (minimum) ground rods. (See Temporary SeNice drawings on back page and In Uniform Electrical Wiring Guide Insert.)

• Temporary poles, where Warren RECC has provided underground facilities, should be designed to be connected under ground. (See drawing on back.)
