Temporary Assistance: Temporary Assistance recipients totaled 567,762 in May 2011, decreasing by 745 (-0.1%) from the previous month. Related expenditures totaled $175,486,632 in May 2011, decreasing by $493,076 (-0.3%) over April 2011.

Food Stamps

Food Stamps: Food Stamp recipients totaled 3,019,981 in May 2011, increasing by 2,577 (+0.1%) from the previous month. Food Stamp expenditures totaled $448,841,995 in May 2011, decreasing by $68,131 (-0.02%) over April 2011.

Supplemental Security Income

Supplemental Security Income: For May 2011, SSI recipients (including Mental Hygiene) totaled 691,451, increasing by 6,813 (+1.0%) from the previous month. SSI expenditures in May 2011 totaled $393,288,266, increasing by approximately $8.8 million (+2.3%) over April 2011.
