Dear Friend, TBS’s mission is to be a welcoming and inclusive sacred community that connects its members to one another, Judaism, and Israel through interactive spiritual, educational, and social experiences. Each one of us has a part to play in fulfilling this mission for our Kehilah Kedoshah, our sacred community. Our community is only as strong as our members. Your support and participation is what makes us the warm and vibrant community that we have always been, and continue to strive to be for everyone in our synagogue. Our clergy, and all of our staff, look forward to continuing to partner with you to create meaningful Jewish experiences for your family next year and beyond. We hope that our membership renewal packet reminds you of all of the wonderful people and activities we are blessed with at our synagogue. None of this would be possible without your financial support. Even a synagogue has to pay its bills and the costs of providing the incredible educational opportunities that are the hallmark of TBS. Year’s Greeting

TBS was a proud participant in Community

Mitzvah Day on October 11. Our community enjoyed

working on important projects centered

around the Five Books of Torah. We welcomed

volunteers supporting JNF, JFCS, Animal Welfare

Association, Voorhees Animal Orphanage, and All

They Need is Love animal shelters. We repaired

tallitot and tefillin, and it was a special privilege to welcome JFCS’s Cafe

Europa Holocaust survivors to a workshop where they

learned about our Torah Orah Holocaust Torah

restoration project.

We are grateful for all of our community’s

participation and contributions to this

project. It was an amazing journey restoring our 200

year old Torah letter by letter! We were excited

to welcome our Holocaust Torah back into our Aron

Kodesh, our Ark, on November 14 and celebrate

the restoration of our Westminster Holocaust Torah

that our community began repairing in April 2015!

Our group also sponsors youth events, provides grant scholarship awards to our Religious School children, hosts informative breakfast programs, and moderates informative programs. In addition, the Men’s Club proudly provides contributions to the synagogue for capital improvements.

As I write this letter, we are actively planning a variety of new and exciting programs for 2016–2017, as well as re-scheduling some of our most popular ones.
