Note : The University was closed vide Government of Meghalaya order dated 31.03.02014 and subsequently the Hon’ble Meghalaya High Court vide their

judgement in WPC No.177/2014, point no. 29. quashed the above closure notice in July 2015.

On reopening of the University , Newspaper notification were issued inviting already enrolled/ Registered scholars for verification of their Enrollment. It was

found that most of the scholars had completed their research work, but could not submit their Thesis. Hence the University decided to consider their cases and got

the evaluation done. On the basis of the evaluation report the University awarded Ph.D. Degree on fulfillment of UGC regulation 2009.
