This will include the redesign of outpatient services, the use of apps in chronic health conditions and improved patient access to Primary Care services. Chair: Fraser Ferguson, AHP Clinical Coordinator, NHS 24; Marilyn McGee- Lennon, Strathclyde University; Patricia Clark, Carers Scotland The workshop will provide an opportunity to discuss examples of commonly available Apps. Fraser will draw on his experience with the MSK App, Marilyn will speak about developing different Apps and Patricia from Carers Scotland will update on the Jointly App. How are staff using Apps? This session on telecare asset management will outline the findings of a recent consultation led by JIT with 12 Scottish telecare providers which highlighted current asset management arrangements in Scotland and key challenges. Workshop participants will be invited to share their views on the consultation findings with a view to informing the content of a future Good Practice Guide on Asset Management.

Following last year’s popular workshop outlining the eHealth Strategy refresh, this session will outline the key strategic aims of the recently refreshed eHealth Strategy 2014-2017. Workshop participants will be invited to share their views on what role telecare can play in realising these aims and where the priorities for practical implementation should lie to achieve the best outcomes.

This session will look at the TSA’s Code of Practice, the inspection process, Technical and European standard development, collaboration and partnerships i.e. Care Inspectorate.

This workshop will launch the latest joint publication by JIT, SCTT and the TSA on good practice when accessing service users homes for the purposes of providing a telecare service. It was developed with input from Scottish telecare service providers, housing associations and the Key Safe Company.
