WELCOME
DIRECTION
To prove the relation between surface area of solid thing to the presurre solids
Basic Theory
Pressure is the definition of Force that occur to the solid thing devided the surface area of that thing.
P = , Here P = Pressure ( Pa )
F = Force ( N )
A = Area ( M2 )
Equipment and Substance:
1. Pail / Bucket
2. Wheat
3. Beam of Wood
4. Ruler
Procedure :1. Pouring the wheat (500 gr.) into a pail
2. Flatting the surface of wheat with cork
3. Pressing One by one of the sides of wood beam on the surface of wheat.
4. Picking up the wood beam from the surface of wheat.
5. Measuring the depth of wheat, after pressed by beam of wood.
Result Of Observation: :
Area Depth Area Depth Area Depth7.5 cm2 0.8 cm 12 cm2 0.5 cm 12 cm2 0.5 cm
Stand Supine Sideways
Conclusion
The depth of wheat , when it was pressured it’s different, because of difference the surface area of the wood beam. When the Wood beam stand, Supine, Sideways.
So that’s mean , there is the relation between the depth and the area of the surface.
