Frame sinks are a magnifi cent design, where the 3 different corner radius measurements that help defi ne this sink series coexist in perfect harmony. The constant pattern is 10 mm radius on the outside, 25 mm radius in the vertical panels of the bowl and 15 mm radius at the bottom. That’s it. That’s the secret.

It’s a rule extended to all accessories designed for the Frame series. The stylish glass table, the rinsing basket and the wooden chopping board, have all become more than just functional accessories. They complement perfectly the Frame design as everything has been created as a united concept. Coupled with the accessories are items such as taps, pop-up buttons and soap dispensers, and their design also helps to keep a close relationship between the forms.

» The wood chopping board fi ts the two biggest bowls. It easily slides through the bowl and drainer area for comfortable use.

» The custom-made rinsing basket is really a functional accessory as you can use the bowl and the colander at the same time.

» The drain grating follows the design of the kitchen sink and it is extra big. The extra squared size makes it easy to gather and throw away the peel of potatoes or fruit.

The appearance of the sink maintains a clean-lined aesthetic, following today’s kitchen and appliance design, but the construction of the basins is slightly different than what it is expected. About the Stainless SteelNot all stainless steel sinks are the same

Kitchen sinks have been manufactured in a wide variety of materials, from wood up to the latest composites. Each has its benefi ts, and the right one for you will depend on your needs. All sinks, no matter which material you select, will eventually show signs of wear and tear, but they should also be able to withstand the rigours of everyday use for a very long time.

The most popular material for kitchen sinks today is stainless steel. Note, however, that not all stainless steel sinks are the same. The fi rst thing to look at is the chrome and nickel ratio. Chrome increases hardness and wear resistance, and provides the stainless steel with lustre and durability. Nickel increases strength and improves shock resistance.

The stainless steel is non-porous, superbly hygienic, rust-free, heat resistant and extremely durable. Only well-known brands use this premium quality stainless steel as standard in their production process, giving a lifetime guarantee that your stainless steel sink will not chip, fl ake or, of course, crack or break.

The chrome-nickel grade is not only important for durability. Some stainless steel sinks look bright and shiny at fi rst, but soon rust and corrode because the combination of chrome and nickel is not exactly right.

Stainless steel technology As a leading stainless steel sink manufacturer, Teka uses the latest technology to offer the best fi nish.

For instance, most Teka sinks incorporate pressed installation rails or pressed bowls, so we eliminate the welding and sanding operations that can damage the appearance of sinks and raise their price.

Stainless steel thicknessThe thickness of the stainless steel is probably the main point to check when buying a sink. The thicker the steel, the less susceptible it is to denting, bowing, noise, temperature changes and the hard knocks of pots and pans. Teka sinks are available in several stainless steel thickness depending on the model.

Stainless steel fi nishesMost Teka stainless steel sinks have what is called a polished fi nish. This elegant fi nish creates an enduring, easy-to-clean lustre that is impervious to water stains and calcium deposits. The polished fi nish requires numerous hand and machine buffi ng operations which produce a beautiful lustre design.

For those who prefer a brushed appearance, another option is the normal satin fi nish. Abrasive grinding produces a uniform pattern of satin fi nish lines on the metal surface.

Teka stainless steel sinks are also available in linen or microtextured fi nishing, which offers an attractive high relief pattern on the sink’s surface. This exclusive fi nish is also made from ‘surgical’ stainless steel, i.e. with all the characteristics of stainless.

The stainless steel hard-plus fi nishing gets better result indeed than the standard stainless steel thanks to the special treatment applied to the surface that improves the hardness and the resistance against scratches, making it an ever lasting perfect piece of design in the kitchen.

Here are some of the products or elements that can damage your sink:

ChloridesChlorides are found in almost all soaps, detergents and cleaning products and can be damaging to stainless steel. They are water soluble, however, so if you rinse away residues after each use, a weekly scouring is all that is needed to keep your sink looking bright and shiny.

ScratchesLike most metallic surfaces, your stainless steel sink will scratch. Don’t worry, these are simply usage marks which will eventually blend into the overall fi nish of the sink.

KnivesYour sink is designed to serve as many things but not as a chopping board. This type of use will cause deep scratches in its surface, and will also blunt your knives. For an additional work area, choose from our wide range of chopping boards.

Water QualityThe quality of your water can affect the appearance of your sink. When water has a high iron content, a brown surface stain can form on the sink giving the appearance of rust. Also, in areas with a high concentration of minerals or over-softened water, a white fi lm may develop on the sink. To combat these problems, we suggest you wipe the sink dry after each use and give it a more thorough clean each week using a recommended abrasive product.

FoodsFoods containing high levels of salt should not be allowed to dry on the sink surface. Rinse your sink thoroughly after use.

This contrast between the straight and round lines transforms this series into an eye-catcher in the kitchen. The drainer is responsible for the cool appeal of this series since it creates a “tide” effect, with waves that slowly come closer to the basin. This design draws attention from the exterior of the sink to the interior of the bowl. The successive waves that the colander design recalls, assure the perfect drainage of accumulated water and the correct placement of all dinnerware pieces.

Zeno: the curveThe Zeno series of Teka offers a freshness and design prepared in every detail. Lately, kitchen furniture design has been purely aligned to straight-lines, forcing all the kitchen equipment industry to develop products that are compatible in both design and performance.

Teka, as one of the pioneers in the sink industry, offers not only the industry standard, but a true sense of innovation. Teka continues developing series to offer reliability and exclusiveness when required. The launching into the market of the Zeno series combines the straight lines in the outer dimensions and the huge round bowl in the practical area of the sink.

The premium series of Teka are conceived not as single sinks but as cleaning centres. A full range of accessories has been specially designed to complement the sink while improving its general appearance. The arch-shaped cutting and serving security glass board slides easily along the sink and over the bowl to help the cleaning while preparing the food. Moreover, the punched stainless steel colander included in the 1½ bowl model fi ts perfectly in the auxiliary bowl to improve the cleaning functionality of the Zeno concept.

Sink confi gurationEven though the bowl (number, size, depth, shape) is the main feature of the sink, it is not the only thing to bear in mind. You have other options that can make your sink more user-friendly and provide you with a nicer working area.

Drainers extend your working area and allow easy clean-up as well as food preparation. They will also keep the work surface clean and dry.

Teka colander bowls are available in either half or quarter bowl sizes. They can be used for rinsing, draining, straining and clean-up. Whatever your sink space, a colander bowl will give you another functioning utensil.

Relationship between sink size and capacity• Bowl depth, taper and radius are the three basic measurements for comparing sink sizes. Depth,

of course, is the distance from the top of the rim to the bottom of the sink at the point nearest the drain.

• Bowl taper is the inward slope of each side of the sink from the rim to the bottom. Radius is the measure of the bowl’s corners and bottom where the sides and bottom meet.

• One point to remember: The deeper the bowl, the straighter the slope, the smaller the radius, the bigger the capacity.

AccessoriesTeka’s optional accessories let you make the most of your sink, as they have been especially designed for each individual model. Crockery baskets, plate racks, colander bowls, chopping boards, waste disposal units etc. will quickly become an indispensable part of your kitchen routine.

The right care of your accessories will extend their useful lives. Teka colanders, drain trays and vinyl-covered rinsing baskets should be hand washed, rinsed thoroughly and hand dried. Wooden chopping boards should never be soaked in water – rinse after each use and dry thoroughly.

Pop-up basket wasteTeka top sinks are known around the world for their variety of accessories. Pleasing to look at and, more important still, enhancing sink functionality for the user. One such feature is the pop-up basket waste, a practical accessory which can be opened and closed to fi ll and empty the bowl without direct contact with its contents (hot water, detergent...).

Stainless steel basket wasteMost of our sinks incorporate 3 ½ basket wastes.

The basket traps the food particles left from washing up, or from cleaning vegetables or fruits, so they do not enter the sewage system. It can also be easily removed for cleaning. Teka has not neglected the appearance of this accessory, incorporating unique design features like three stamped logos.

Under-protection for stainless steel modelsThere are several systems available but the most common are sound-absorbing pads and undercoating. The main advantages of this special feature are that it absorbs sound, protects against condensation build-up inside kitchen furniture and helps to maintain sink water temperature. Most Teka sinks offer sound-absorbing pads as standard.

Individual carton boxTeka sinks are usually presented in individual carton boxes. All boxes are stamped with the Teka logo and a sticker showing the name of the product and the code number. Inside the box, the sink and the accessories such as waste, fi xing clips and sealing strip for its installation are included.

This packaging system is highly recomended for the individual sale.

Five units carton boxCarton box packs include fi ve sinks and their accessories, waste, fi xing clips and sealing strip. This packaging system is specially designed when selling big quantities and the accessories are included in the packaging.

Carboard protectionIt is a comfortable and secure way of packing the sinks for its sale in big stores. The accessories are sold separately. Although the sink is not inside a carton box, the protection around the sink perimeter is good enough.

Five pieces bundleSpecially thought for sinks that have to be delivered far away and when saving space is a must, this way of packaging makes the loading of goods more competitive. The sinks are covered by a plastic bag and the corners are also protected with carton. The accessories of the sink are sold separately.

The Teka LED system available for most of the Linea and Radea undermount sinks will change the mood in the kitchen.

This innovative illumination system is based in an acrylic glass frame that incorporates an LED system inside. Operated via remote control, the frame is illuminated and the colour ranges through the whole chromatic spectrum thanks to the selectable intensity and basic colour combinations.

This surprising effect achieves even stronger intensity when the colour is refl ected along the bowls and the stainless steel panels.

The installation of this device is really easy. The frame must be fi rmly placed between the rim of the bowl and the worktop and connected using the provided electrical pack. It’s recommended to respect a minimum distance of 25 mm from the niche hole to the tap hole.

All frame models are suitable for integrated installation. Large sinks look terrifi c when they are fl ush installed. This possibility is only accessible for those few suppliers that design and produce sinks under the most demanding conditions. Large sinks are diffi cult to install due to the internal resistance of stainless steel and the required perfection to fi t the custom made hole in the countertop. Teka Frame sinks are massive in construction to be sure that the integration really becomes an unique piece together with the countertop.

General features of Teka working units

The main advantage of the working unit concept is the multiple possibilities of personalization that transform every an each of them in an individual project.Every working unit features the same inner body (585 mm wide) manufactured from high quality wood and covered in the same high-quality stainless steel used in Teka sinks.The materials used are the only general features for this line, as nearly everything about its construction can be 100 percent customized. Best-selling designs include the following products.

The unit’s regular width is 600 mm, although it can be extended 100 mm to reach the 700 mm a measurement widely used for island concepts. The stainless steel backstand can be folded up or down depending on the desired use of the working unit.

Regarding the length, the range goes from 1000 to 3700 mm, offering a fi nished product every 100 mm to fi t perfectly in your kitchen. Due to the popularization of taller kitchen units, the working units are also adaptable as it’s possible to select the height from 700 to 900 mm with 100 mm difference.

The unit’s lateral table, used as a leg, is made of wood and can be fully or partially covered in stainless steel. Select the width of the leg from 20 to 80 mm depending on the unit’s placement in the kitchen area.

Standard working units can be corner installed, making it easier to decide how to distribute space in small kitchens.

The backstand can be squared or rounded (20 mm radius). You can also choose if it will be welded or folded, depending on its fi nal use in the kitchen.

The front view of the stainless steel countertop can be also manufactured with a 20 mm radius bevel to avoid sharp edges in the kitchen.

Finally, once you have complete the customization of the unit, you can use it as a working countertop or you can integrate and install kitchen appliances, washing units, include more units, install electrical outlets, recover columns, etc.

You can also combine the use of two noble natural materials, stainless steel and the wood. Remove unpleasant taste, odour and organic impurities thanks to its advanced fi lter system.

Sintered ceramic discAll our Teka cartridges use high resistance sintered ceramic discs. All these discs have porous surfaces which help to retain the grease longer helping achieving smoother and gentler movements and therefore extending the life of the taps. The operating gear is isolated from water giving continuous lubrication.

Temperature and fl ow limiterTemperature Limiter: Save the energy used to heat the water with the temperature limiter incorporated in our cartridges.

Water Saving: Our cartridges incorporate an adjustable fl ow limiter to save water every time you use the mixer.
