INTRODUCTION Grant Medical Foundation’s Tehmi Grant Institute of Nursing Education, popularly known
as Ruby Hall Clinic’s College of Nursing was established in the year 1999 to offer Diploma
Program. It was a dream project of our former Chairman & Managing Trustee, Honourable
Late Padma Bhushan Dr. K.B Grant & his beloved wife Late Mrs Tehmi Grant, it was their
dedication, devotion, determination & hard work that helped to make this an institute of
high repute.
In 2004, the institute was upgraded to offer 4 years B.Sc. Nursing degree program & in 2006,
program centre for Post Basic. B.Sc. Nursing affiliated to IGNOU New Delhi was started.
Thereafter in 2008, two years post graduate program M.Sc. Nursing was started, which
offered the following subjects: Medical Surgical Nursing, Child Health (Paediatric)
Nursing, Mental Health (Psychiatric) Nursing & Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nursing.
The institute is affiliated & recognised by the Government of Maharashtra, Maharashtra
Nursing Council – Mumbai, Indian Nursing Council – New Delhi and Maharashtra
University of Health Sciences – Nashik. The institute has been awarded certification of
accreditation by National Assessment & Accreditation Council on 5th May 2014.
The institute is located in a single 7-storied building adjacent to Ruby Hall Clinic, in a prime
area of Pune city, 1 km from the railway station & the bus stand, & 8 km from the airport. It
is self-sufficient in all aspects with full-fledged physical facilities as per apex body norms.
The institute is well equipped with simulation laboratories, computers, internet facilities & a
spacious library with Springer Data Base & MUHS online facilities. Students have an access
to the Central Library located in Ruby Hall Clinic.
An excellent clinical facility in parent hospital Ruby Hall Clinic which is NABH Accredited
& hostel facilities with all amenities is our strength.

PARENT HOSPITAL
Ruby Hall Clinic: Pune’s first Nationally Accredited Hospital: Ruby Hall Clinic had a humble beginning when the founder Honourable Padma Bhushan
Late Dr. K.B Grant, an eminent cardiologist himself started a small 2 bedded nursing home
in 1959.
In 1966 it was converted from a private institution to a public Charitable Trust – Poona
Medical Foundation. It was later converted to the “Grant Medical Foundation” in 2000.
Today 60 years later it has grown like a Mammoth tree with its branches in Wanowarie and
Hinjewadi. Ruby Hall Clinic is an ultramodern state-of-art multispecialty hospital with 750
bed capacity. It occupies a unique & prominent place on the INTERNATIONAL MAP
among medical institutions. Grant Medical Foundation’s Ruby Hall Clinic Wanowarie a
Boutique Hospital has been functional since 2013 & Hinjewadi a Modern hospital has been
functional since 2016.
Ruby Hall Clinic is Pune’s first NABH accredited hospital; RHC has also received NABL
Accreditation for laboratory and blood bank services & Nursing Excellence Certification
from NABH. Ruby hall clinic has excelled in Cardiology, Critical care & Oncology. It has
Multi Organ Transplant Centre.

GOALS • To prepare graduates with a holistic perspective, who will respond to changing

OBJECTIVES The overall objective of Nursing programs at TGINE is to prepare a
Graduate/Post Graduate Nurse who will be able to:
• Synthesise knowledge from physiological and behavioural sciences with
nursing practice to enhance professional competence.
• Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive quality services to protect,
promote, optimise health and alleviate suffering, through the diagnosis and
treatment of human responses in the care of individuals, families, communities
and population as a whole.
• Exercise professional accountability and responsibility by demonstrating
leadership strategies to advance nursing through the application of relevant
theories, concepts and principles.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and consumers in the
conduct of nursing practice.
• Apply critical thinking skills in making independent judgment and decision.
• Act as an agent of change by participating in significant research programmes
and utilising information and communication technology to promote evidence-
based practice.
• Engage in ethical reasoning and actions to promote advocacy and social justice
as a responsible citizen.
• Cultivate and develop values, attitudes, skills and self-directed learning as a
lifelong process in the interest of personal and professional growth.

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
English is the medium of instruction for the course and the examination.

Duration of course: 4 yrs
REQUIREMENTS/ SELECTION CRITERIA
• Only female candidates are given admission.
• NEET (Check DMER website)
• The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of
the year of admission
• The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of Higher secondary
school certificate Examination (12 years course), Or Senior School Certificate
Examination (10+2), pre-degree Examination (10+2) Or An equivalent with 12
years schooling from a recognized board under
AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board or University
with science minimum 45% in PCB & to be passed in English separately.
• Candidate must be physically and mentally fit for admission.
• As per the Maharashtra University of Health Science and institution policy, the
candidate will have to undergo medical fitness before admission.
• Confirmation of admission is subject to issue of eligibility to the course from
Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.

• Implementation of changes with regard to admission process / selection criteria
etc. will be incorporated as per Indian nursing council, Maharashtra Nursing
council, Maharashtra university notifications issued from time to time.
ADMISSION PROCESS
1 Only female candidates are given admission.
2 Candidates should visit mahacet.org
3 Click on the application link provided by CET cell
4 Fill and submit the application form
5 Pay application fees and take print out of the payment receipt
6 Log in again to verify the application process
7 Download the completed and verified application form
8 Take a print out of the same for future admission process.
9 Upload necessary documents on the website.
10 Fill the preference form online.
11 A provisional merit list of eligible candidates based on their performance in
NEET along with preference selected by candidate will be released by state
CET
12 Counseling sessions will commence selection process will be completed in two
or more rounds.
13 Seats will be allotted based on preference filled by candidate.
14 Candidates may either accept the college allotted or wait for second round of
seat allotment.
15 If satisfied submit a status retention form which once submitted cannot be
taken back.
16 Seat once allotted and status retention form once submitted candidates will not
be allowed to change their choices.
17 Final merit list will be released by the respective authorities on the official
website.
18 All candidates selected must pay the course fees in the form of Demand draft
from any national bank in favor of Principal payable at respective college.
Admission granted is provisionally subjected to:
1. The payment of all the fees payable to the institution.
2. Submission of eligibility certificate from Maharashtra University of Health
Sciences.
3. Submission of all certificates (original) as per requirement.

ELIGIBILITY FOR UNIVERSITY EXAMINATION
A candidate must have minimum 80% attendance in theory and practical in
each subject for appearing in university exams
A candidate must have 100% attendance in each of practical areas before award
of degree
ACADEMIC PROGRESS/ STANDARDS OF PASSING
• All students are expected to maintain a high academic and clinical standard of
performance throughout the programme. Regular written and practical exams
will be conducted at regular intervals
• Internal assessment in each subject will be carried out at regular times as
prescribed by the university.
• Passing in the internal assessment is a pre-requisite to appear for the university
examination.
• The student will appear for theory and practical examination of Maharashtra
University of Health Sciences at the end of every academic year as prescribed.
• A candidate has to pass in theory and practical exam separately in each of the
paper.
• Minimum passing marks is 50% in each of theory and practical papers
separately
• Candidate must pass in internal and external examinations in each of the
papers separately.
• If a candidate fails in either practical or theory paper, she will have to reappear
for both theory and practical.

FEE STRUCTURE
• Fees are payable as per the approved rates prescribed by (SHIKSHAN

• Score minimum 55% marks (5% relaxation of marks for reserve category

• Should be registered with any State Nursing Council

ELIGIBILITY FOR UNIVERSITY EXAMINATIONS
The candidate must have a minimum 80% attendance in theory subjects for
appearing the university examination. However, 100% attendance in all practical
areas is required for receiving the degree.
STANDARDS OF PASSING
• Minimum pass mark is 50% in each for Theory and Practical. • Twenty-five percentage of the marks of Theory and 50% of the marks of
Practical are reserved for the Year’s work (internal assessment). • If the candidate fails in either practical or theory paper, she will have to re-
appear for both theory and practical.

Clinical Facilities ❖ Hands-on clinical experience is provided in GMF’s Ruby Hall Clinic, our parent
ultra-modern state-of-the-art 750-bedded multi-specialty hospital Ruby Hall
Clinic main and Wanowarie.
❖ To provide comprehensive clinical experience, students are also posted to the
following affiliated hospitals as and when necessary:
Primary Health Centre, Urban Health Centre, and NGO’s for Community
Health Nursing Clinical experience.
Chaitanya Institute of Mental Health, Pune and NIMHANS, Bangalore for
Psychiatric Nursing Clinical experience.
Government and Municipal Corporation Hospitals to provide specific clinical
experiences such as in Maternity and Child Health Nursing.

Book Bank Scheme
Book Bank Scheme is supported by Student’s welfare department of MUHS,
Nashik. Under this scheme, a set of 4 to 6 books according to the syllabus are
issued to needy students for the academic year.

• Simulation learning is the most important trend in nursing education today.
• Provision of ample of simulation exercises to the students, before exposing them
to the actual hospital and community situations, is one of the most distinctive
features of TGINE.
• The institute is dedicated to provide the best hands-on learning experience to
prepare students to become 21st-century nurse practitioners.
• The laboratories are set as per apex body norms, to provide comprehensive
nursing care to the patients, our students are provided with preliminary training
inpatient care at the laboratory.
