The courier service is optional but based on the experiences of some students

they get lost, EBC accepts no responsibility if the loss of the documents results in

A student visa is only issued in your home country. The definition of Student

Visa ONLY covers the issuing of your initial Student Visa in your home coun-

try. The extension procedure, application for a part-time work permit under

article 90 of the current student visa legislation and any subsequent renew-

als are NOT covered by the money back guarantee.

The money back guarantee does not apply to any problems of any type that

arise after your initial student visa has been granted.

If you fail to get a student visa, you must inform EBC within 7 days of your

What type of visa will I get? You will get a STUDENT VISA.

Can I work using a student visa? Yes, Article 90 of the Spanish Student Visa

legislation allows for part-time work as long as it does not interfere with

Can I apply for the visa but not take the Spanish course? No you cannot.

You MUST take the Spanish course or you will NOT be able to apply for a

student visa.

Can I apply for the visa after I start the EBC course? If you want to take the

course and then go back home to process the student visa, you can. If you do

not want to go home after the course, you cannot. The reason is that you

can only apply for a student visa from your home country. If you want to

apply for a student visa after you take the course, you will have to go home

for 2 to 3 months to apply and get the student visa.

When should I apply for the visa? You MUST apply at least 3 months before

your course start date. If you don't, then your visa will not arrive in time for

How to apply for a student visa

1. Apply for an EBC TEFL course in Madrid

2. Receive, fill out and return a personal details form so EBC can write your

study abroad documents

3. Contact your nearest Spanish consulate to get a list of required documents

and make an appointment to present your documents

4. Send your course deposit and Spanish program fee.

5. Receive your study abroad documents from EBC

6. Get the other personal documents the consulate has requested

7. Attend the appointment at the consulate

8. Receive your student visa

9. Register your arrival when you come to Madrid

Allow three months to complete the process and make sure that the appoint-

ment you make in Step 3 is at least three weeks before you fly to Madrid.

IMPORTANT 1: Two standard documents that are requested by the consulate

are a statement that you are in good health and a police report stating that you

are not a convicted criminal. The health report is quite easy to get but the police

appointment you arranged in step 2 until you have all your documents. Make

sure the appointment date you arrange is realistic. To speed up the personal doc-

ument gathering process, EBC recommends that you start ordering these docu-

ments as quickly as possible.

IMPORTANT 2: After you have attended the appointment at the consulate, Step

7, you will have to wait until the student visa is finally approved. The consulate

has to send all your details to Spain for final immigration approval. This process

can take anywhere from one to three weeks.

Is the visa process guaranteed? Yes, we will refund your student visa fee if the

consulate denies your student visa application because the Spanish school and

study programme are not acceptable.

Is the student visa process guaranteed?

Yes, your student visa + Spanish programme fee is money back guaranteed. You

Cancellation fee

As long as you attend the TEFL course, attend your Spanish classes and attend the

ratification appointment there will not be any problems.

If you are granted a student visa and then either:

fail to enrol and/or attend the EBC TEFL course or

fail to attend the Spanish classes,

we are obligated by law to inform immigration because someone has fraudulent-

ly entered Spain under the guise of a student visa. This will mean that your stu-
