Take two selfies: a. Your current self: one that represents how you see yourselfb. Your ideal self: one that represents how you want others to see

you.

Possible visual elements that you could include: Your position within the selfie:

o are you big/ small?o in the foreground or the background?o is only part of you showing or is it a full body shot?

The things you choose to surround yourself with:o Have you surrounded yourself with many things or very few?o Are they things that you like to do or see or not?

The colours or lack of colourThese selfies can either be half a page each or a full A4 page. They should be displayed directly next to each other. VERY IMPORTANT: ANY DANGEROUS SELFIES WILL BE DEEMED INVALID AND

THE LEARNER WILL BE ASKED TO RESUBMIT THE TASK.

Section B: I-Bridge

Conduct an interview with your parents/guardians where you ask them about your life and your family history. Using what you have learned you will need to create a road map of your life. You will also need to include a paragraph of 100 – 200 words to explain the different features representing the different situations in your life.

You may include features like buildings, bridges, ponds or rivers, trees (standing or fallen), road works, street signs, circles, etc. Be creative when choosing the symbols for your life.

Your map and explanatory paragraph should cover the following areas:

Include and explain FIVE negative/ traumatic situations that happened in your life. (5x2=10)

Include and explain FIVE positive/ growth-inspiring situations that that happened in your life. (5x2=10)

Include at least TWO colours and explain how they help to symbolise the formation of your self-concept during your life so far. (2x2=4)

In your paragraph , explain how THREE of these situations or features on your map have taught you something and made you who you are today. (3x2 =6)
