“That’s what she said!” …….SHUT
UP!!!
Uh, no… I love life, mostly.
No, I didn’t see the light…
Took AP classes; definitely not genius.
I am not judging…out loud.
Wondering if it was worth it.
Christian? Yes, is there a problem?
I live in an iron cage.
Ex-boyfriend is now best guy friend.
He claims love, but does he?
Books are heroes, saved my sanity.
My music has become my life.
My heart is not a toy.
My best friend is considered family.
My dad’s a cop, fear me.
Home: Complete chaos, never quiet, love.
I laugh when I’m in pain.
My little brother is birth control.
Safe, calm, and loving. My grandma.
Safe haven is my lovely books.
My brother’s two, silence is cherished.
Food is the answer to everything.
When you fall, it is funny.
I just hit my head. Ouch.
I don’t care if you care.
My handwriting is never the same.
Lawrence. Jonas. Travolta. Life is good.
Fan fiction owns my soul. Yay!
I love my friends – they’re freaky.
Constitution should protect me from gym.
I hate wet floors. Boom. Ouch.
17. 5 surgeries. 6 stitches. Blood.
Andy needs help. But…lost cause.
My friends worry me sometimes. Always.
All I can do is *facepalm*.
Supernatural. Misha Collins. My life’s complete.
I ain’t got no more words.
Jes isn’t writing about me. Unloved.
I will wallow in a corner.
Hyper. HYPER! Time. Losing energy. *headtable*
My goal in life is accomplished.
I live under a rock. Always.
I eat my feelings. Every. Day.
Why does the world spin? Why?
Can my heart stop? Please do.
Teardrops upon the grain. Teardrops=rain.
Why are castles built in skies?
Never introduced to happiness. Never will.
I wonder where the fish go?

Dear Creators of Mountain Dew, Dew (ha ha pun…) you realize what you have done to today’s youth? (Not that I object, in fact, I’m drinking as I’m writing this.) Actually, my friends and I love you. I mean, not you, but the drink Mountain Dew. I love every single one of your flavors. Well, not *your* flavors, but Mountain Dew’s. Here’s a demonstration of how it makes me feel:

Dear Cheetos People, Next time your stupid chip’s orange stuff sticks to my fingers, I will wipe my hand all over your corporate cubicle boxes and suits and computer screens. Love, Unsatisfactory
by Angelica Cataldo
Hollywood, California Dear Hollywood
I keep hearing how most people want to be rich or be in a movie or be a pop star or whatever, but every
time I turn on TV I keep seeing messed up stars and rich people getting divorced or married. They may be getting wasted
somewhere or being cheated or cheating someone. Half of this information is probably lies but if they are why they don’t
sue who ever brought the lie to light is beyond me. My real question is why you have to have at least half your life on
cameras or pictures. I mean, I don’t really care if you want to tarnish your own reputation, but putting your divorces on
TV and replacing my cartoons with your problems and wasting my time is UN-FOR-GIVE-ABLE. The only stars I
haven’t heard anything weird about is Jack Black and I think Eddie Murphy.

I Guess I Owe You
by Ashley Gervais
I always enjoyed watching you from the sidelines, the audience, and the crowded mosh-pits. The shiny acoustic guitar that you always held on to so dearly used to make my abdomen convulse and my chest cavity respire. And the way the lights reflected off your hands always looked like summer across the wooden-floored stage. Every now and then I pretended that you were singing to me directly into my ears and every verse ended with my name. So I put you on repeat and played that concert in my mind (over and over again) because you take me away from everything, to a place where I belong, where it's always summer, and we create symphonies for the entire world.
heart takes and line breaks
by Kelly Brophy
another line drifts off the page because i have no sense when it comes to centering things words lines priorities life you name it a wrinkled page tells the story of how we met awkward and young sunburned on our cheeks because that's what summer means when you're young and awkward a little star universe fills the margins when i'm at a loss for words love words and kiss words and shh don't wake the others words words that don't mean anything when taken out of context a line break is thrown in somewhere between the third and fourth stanza because that's where my heart weakens and my insides heave to catch a breath and learn what break feels like

I’ll Be
by Mark Kropke
Who is it that you need me to be
Just picture your life with the man of your dreams
Just close your eyes and tell me what you see
Make me the man that you need me to be
I can be the one to walk you in the sand
Shyly building the courage to hold your hand
Slowly giving you the kiss that takes you from the world
Doing all in my power just to call you my girl
Or I can be the one your parents hate
Pick you up on my bike for our first date
Take you to the country with a six pack of beer
And I'll show you why life's nothing to fear
I can be your sugar daddy and buy you the world
Give you the life you've dreamed of, as a girl
You can be the queen next to my throne
Fingers iced with all kinds of stone
I can be the man our kids call dad
The one they'll come to when they've been bad
Provider of food and piggyback rides
Even the tickle monster attacking their sides
So tell me now, who shall I be
What kind of man do you want from me
Tell me who it is from me you see
Tell me the man that I must be

I Had an ‘A’ in Science
by Clarisa Calderon
I had an A in science Till you transferred in and turned it all around Where logic was firmly rooted The unbelievable pulled it out You make gravity disappear And I floated to the sky Unlike an apple, I won’t come down I once said not everything is possible You made impossible possible And built a code I couldn’t hack With a lock I couldn’t crack A sensibility and reality You make it disappear As my grades fall I still hold thy dear Laws of physics got Nothing on you

Last year I felt numb, stupid, useless, ugly, and talentless. You helped me feel smart,
beautiful, and amazing. This year I don’t need help and I listen to my friends’ lives, worries,
hobbies and talents like you listened to me. Thank you for allowing and helping to find this
personality my childhood self would want to be.
