he children at our center were blessed with soccergoals for their soccer field. They love playing soccerand will play it day and night if they can. And nowT

that they can kick goals its even harder to get them awayfrom the field.

e cross paths with numerous people in our lifetimes that make an impact on us. This month I want to introduce you

rightful place amongst His loyal servants.

General newsinally, just to let you know that most of the projects we havestarted in the Ministry are going well and there is so muchexcitement. We can however do with some help on ourF

beading and music projects. We need some help as regards trainingand equipment. Should you be in a position to help, please contactthe Ministry on 051 430 5769.

orman was born on 13 December 1922 and has been a resident at the center since 13December 2002. Norman is one of 10 children. His brothers and sisters have all passedN away. In the year that I have know Norman I can honestly say that we can all learn

something from this man. Not only is he the oldest resident in the Ministry at present, but also themost willing. He still does everything for himself i.e. showering, cleans his room, walks to town andback, does his own shopping. Many of us younger ones can take a leaf out of his book. Some timeago he was doing security work at our main gate. His knees for some reason started swelling and Isuggested he stopped helping at the gate. Well, as was to be expected, he refused to stop helping atthe gate, as he didn't want to go sit in his room and die. Norman has not been on a holiday since hecame here in 2002.

Every morning one can hear Norman sing his hymns and not a day passes without him telling you how blessed he really is. He truly is aninspiration for most of us in the Ministry.

untie Mercia, as she is affectionately known in the Ministry, is the oldest femaleresident. She was born on 10 January 1927. She took up residence in Eden on 05AFebruary 1999. Today auntie Mercia is one of our stalwarts when it comes to the

processing of vegetables that are donated to the Ministry. She is always the first one thereand the last one to leave. If there is one thing we learned from auntie Mercia it is that shenever complains. This lady partakes in all activities in the Ministry, works with her ownpocket money and does her own shopping.

Auntie Mercia is one of the fortunate residents that visit her family once a year. She has abrother in Port Elizabeth and every year as her birthday present she gets to spend a monthwith her brother.

They truly are an inspiration for most of us in the Ministry and we want to thank them fortheir unselfish love and dedication to the Ministry.

veryday there are various people and organizations involved in the Ministry, each onemaking a difference in the lives of so many people who are left destitute because of a number of circumstances. We want to sayE thank you to Boelie & Marie Griesel of Oppiekoppie Boerdery. Thank you for giving so unselfishly of yourselves and we pray that
